Thinking about point spreads and Wick's winning streak, in the NFL home field advantage is said to be worth 3 points.  I would have to imagine that with D3 amateurs playing at home is worth at least as much is not slightly more.

Not to take anything away from Wick's two big wins over IC and SJF, but if home field advantage is worth 3 points then Wick, IC and SJF would be equal on a neutral site.  If it's worth more than Wick did a great job of holding on and taking advantage of their home field advantage.  

If we also say that the top 5 teams in the E8 are all relatively equal, then this Saterday's contest at Merrill Field would have to favor the Saxons by whatever home field advantage is worth (plus the 7 points that the pep band is worth).

So, when we break it down scientifically, it's Saxons by at least 10.  Now I hope Keeley and Co. prove me right.

Final from Merrill Field: 46-36 Saxons.  I'd like to think the 7 points that the pep band provided were the two missed field goals and the missed extra point.  If the Hawks had not missed those, they wouldn't have gone for 2 on their last TD and then their final drive would have only required a field goal for the win.  Kudos to the Hawks and Saxons; those are two solid football teams that fought hard all day long.

I sat with Pep on my right and Saxon73 on my left.  Hartwick was downright frisky all game.  They fought back from 35-16 when we thought it was gonna be a blowout at that point.  Wick has a very solid team this year.
