TGP has done some statistical analysis on the Saxons and has determined that the Pep Band may actually be causing AU to get into penalty issues (probably b/c the team is listening to the band and forgetting the snap count).

AU is currently averaging 100/yds a game in penalties.

Just to readdress this issue after today's game, I wouldn't be surprised if the Saxons committed 200 yrds of penalties today.  Some were questionable calls like pushing Crea as he crossed the end zone as unnessassary roughness, but mostly Alfred just looked undisciplined.  That, I fear, is going to come back and haunt the Saxons during that brutal 3 game road trip to end the season.

I missed the last missed field goal because Kaz00, Jr. was getting cranky from the heat, but I don't think either were blocked.  The XP hit the goal post and landed back on the field.

Phelan had 9 recs 143 yards and 2 TDS

AU's Keeley had 6 tds passing throwing for 276 yards

Apparently no one wanted to play D at AU...

Alfred did have 11 penalties for 155 yards though....

It definitely could have been.  That's 7 points right there and a missed 2-pt conversion makes 9 points held off the board in a game decided by 10 points.  Alfred would have had much different play calling when they were up 35-16 until Wick made it 35-30, but regardless it was a hard fought game by both teams.
