AS far as the election goes - vote for none of the above

Whaddaya gonna do, I guess.  Cleveland was the better team during the regular season and they were certainly the better team this series.  All those two-out RBI hits by the Tribe really deflated the Stadium crowd.  Besides, if I had to pick one AL team for the Yanks to ever lose a playoff series to, I'd pick the Indians.  Great fans and long-suffering with about 1/10,000th the obnoxiousness of the RSN pre-2004.  Now get out there and smoke Boston, fellas.

Weep not for the passing of the Joe Torre Era.  He had a great run but sometimes, new blood is needed, shake things up a bit.  Joe's probably tired of the BS that comes with the NY spotlight anyway; I know I would be.  Maybe the next guy will even know how to manage a bullpen.  I'd prefer Girardi to Mattingly, but then I am of the generation that was just a couple years too young to worship at the altar of Donnie Baseball.

I recommend the following...Re-sign A-Rod, be careful of giving Jorge and Mo too many years on their new contracts and toss the kids in the 2008 rotation.  Ride out the final season of the Giambi contract and if possible eat the money and trade him for whatever semi-prospect can be had in return.

I guess the Steinbrenner thinks Torre is too expensive. I don't understand the Mets keeping Randolph.  He had it made and he blew it.

Don't be so positive Joe is out yet.  I usually see Big Stein at breakfast in the morning.  Want me to ask if he was serious?

superman57

honestly...unless you can get Mo for the hometown discount and a severe discount...let him go... Joba is good and Mo is losing his edge still one of the all time greats but they need to save the money... give Posada no more than 2 years and desperatly try to find someone who can replace him...  and only resign Arod as long as he does not opt out we need that money from texas....

go clevland go Rockies...die boston die...

and RIP Joe Torre...hopefully they go with Joe Gerrardi...

Jose if you see him go spit in his omelet...I'm mad at him now..as I go pout and consider drinking mass quanities of vodka...despite work looming tommorow morning
