You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Hey congrats on ur third season in a row gettin eliminated early with the HIGHEST payroll and quite possible the best hitter, closer, and starting pitcher all on the same team! +K

I'm very interested to find out who you think the best starting pitcher is that's on the Yankees. Our ace was Chien-Ming Wang, a legit #3 on most good teams. Watch out for the diaper dandies though... in a couple years...

Hey Upstate, I'll bet if you check, Keeley's numbers from the Fisher game 2 years ago were pretty good (was he really the 4th string QB the year before at SJF??!!)!?  I believe he quarterbacked AU to a win on Fisher's field.  Of course, Brenton Brady and the defense played a big part in that win too.  I'm hoping for an instant replay again this year.

msarge7  -  I think you make a good point.  But as I recall (Pep can verify) that was the game we lost Julio - could have used him the next year and one of my main men Blake Fuller (LB) who took a year off.

That was not the game we lost Julio.  He was lost the following year.  I do believe that we lost a HUGE part of our offense without Julio though.  He absolutely controlled Fisher the entire 4th quarter 2 years ago.  He got 1st downs and controlled the clock to keep it outta Fisher's hands.

Yes, Brenton Brady crushing Qb's always helps too.  By the way I heard a rumor he had a tryout with the Bills 2 weeks ago.  Any word on that Pep?

Pep spoke briefly with Brenton just last week. Pep asked Mr. Brady something to the effect of whether he missed being in pads hitting people. He replied that he didn't really, he was happy with his coaching responsibilities. BB made no mention of the Bills, although Pep knows that BB had participated in an NFL Combine at, Pep believes, the invitation of the Bills. Unfortunately, he got hurt during the Combine and nothing transpired. Pep always enjoyed guarding Brady in Late Nite Pick-up Basketball....Pep shut him down for the most part, except the one time Brenton slam dunked it over Pep.  ::)

Typical boston azz clown response...how's JD Drew and Matt Clement working out for you... and what did you give up to get Willy Mo, and what did you get in return... and as much as I was against signing Damon, he has been huge with leadership and getting this team into the right attitude....and while you are buying pitching...I would love to see you try and hit Joba, Ian Kennedy and Phil Hughes...man they are nasty and wait...they have Robby Cano at second and Melky in center and Jeter is at short all are homegorwn

Stuperman,

First off, everything you say is an azz clown response.  How fitting is it that you hate the redsox?  I love it.

Bottom line is that the Yankees bought all their world series and the Red sox bought theirs.  And now the Yanks dont know how to buy good players anymore while the sox do.

Drew was a horrible move and 90% of sox fans knew it.

And the Yanks can still outbid the sox on most players as they did with A-rod and Damon.  Damon wanted the paycheck and he got it.

And if Stuperman and a Cortland Grad had a baby, the baby would say....

"Tayste it"

Dude, Damon sucks. He's never been that good. He can't hit, can't field, can't even run anymore. And yet Joe continues to lead him off. It boggles my mind. What a waste of money.

The Yankees have one of the richest farm systems in the bigs after another great draft this year. Add that to the fact that every player in baseball outside of Curt Schilling wants to play for the Yankees at some point and I think we'll be just fine.

Can't argue that the Sox are the best team in baseball this year. It's a miracle the Yanks made the playoffs, without A-Rod they would've finished below Toronto, no question. Bring him back, he and Jeter will lead the youngsters into another Dynasty.

As far as Clay Buchholz , he's good, but go take a look at the list of pitchers that have thrown no-hitters. It ain't exactly a "who's who".

And memo to all Boston fans: whining about the Yankees payroll looks pretty ****ty to fans of teams like Pittsburgh, Florida, Oakland etc. That should really never be used by you guys as any kind of excuse/derision.

I don't whine about their payroll.  I actually enjoy seeing them spend all that money with no return on investment.
