  The E8 Party picture in your tag still confuses me.  Perhaps I'm reading into it too much, but if Hartwick is looking in on the party why are there 5 people in the party.  I figure that the "E8 Party" refers to Alfred, Fisher, Ithaca and Springfield, so who is the fifth party member if not Hartwick?  I'm going with Nazareth even though they don't have a football team, but because they are an E8 member and have a lot of ladies.  Everybody needs that guy who's a little too feminine, but is friends with a ton of hot chicks.  So, now we just need to figure out who is who in the picture.

  I'm going with Fisher, Alfred, Ithaca, Nazareth & Springfield from left to right.  Fisher is the kid trying to look extra cool with a cigarette in his hand, Alfred is trying to be a little too cozy with Ithaca over their long history together, Nazareth is the metrosexual taking it all in, and Springfield is wearing red because he's a Sox fan (and he's a brother to represent the fact that he's not from NYS).

I think part of it is the bandwagon fans.  Although, a lot of the lifers have this holier-than-though approach when they are visiting fans.

Also, at least in Tampa, most of the Yankee fans that come to a game live in and around Tampa.  So when the Rays start smacking around the Yankees, these yahoos start rooting for the Rays.  (From the press box, it is hilarious to watch the same groups of people stand up and cheer when either team scores).

But, the Sox fans that come to a game are generally on vacation.  So when the Rays are beating the Sox fans they get really beligerent.  

Not sure if that is what is going on in other parks but I imagine it is something similar.

listen, I go to a ton of Yankee games...if they are getting smacked around I will sit in my seat and pout...I won't become angry...but I remember my dad taking me and a friend to Fenway when I was 13 for my Bar Mitzvah present and we had great seats but because we were wearing Yankee gear and the yankees were crushing the red sox people were throwing things at me and my friend....

see that's what pisses me off...I have a rule for games their are only allowed two hats to a game (the two teams that are playing) Kids can get jokingly teased but it needs to be G rated and all friendly,  If you go to a Yankees-Rays game wearing a Red Sox hat you deserve to be heckeled

I'm on break, but getting a little selfish.  I'm gonna change that to a beer bath, in a lawnchair, 70 degree weather, while watching AU beat Fisher at Growney to go undefeated.

Anyway, I was pondering the remaining E8 schedules and I realized that there is only 1 way that Alfred won't be playing for the E8 title on 10/10 at Growney.  And that is if Springfield beats Fisher this weekend and Alfred beats Ithaca on 10/3.  Every other scenario would have Alfred (and most likely Fisher) playing for the AQ.

Sorry if everyone else has figured that out already and I'm just slow.

Dead as a doornail in the E8Nation tonight...My office here at Stetson has a Texas Book Depository-like perch over the basketball "arena" (glorified HS gym).  Kinda nice to be able to watch hoops practice while catching up on work.
