The way it looks now the two best wins on Muhlenbergs schedule are going to be TCNJ and Union.  Those are quality wins and both regional I believe.
I agree that the Mules victory over Union is "quality".  I just don't think that it is "Holy Crap" look at the Union win....as suggested by RedSwarm

Although the 34-0 loss to Muhlenberg is bad, I do think that the mules are better than people in this region give them credit for, . . .

Muhlenberg also shut out TCNJ, who is one of the best 3 teams in the east.

I 'hear' where you are coming form 'Port regarding the Mules . . .  Look at Curry...every year they are at their 'best' and they get smoked in the play-offs....  Honestly I do not know if the Mules are as 'extreme' as Curry on one end of the spectrum or as MUC on the other end, however, they do have a limited history of leaning towards Curry...

That's not a realistic comparison, though.  Curry plays in the insular NEFC, which is as close as you can get to a "no out of conference play" policy without being in the NESCAC.  Pollish analyzers can legitimately overlook Curry on acount of having no legitimate basis for comparison--all of their "non conference" games are against other NEFC teams.

But Muhlenberg beat Union and TCNJ.

Agreed....winning in the fashion in which they did was quite surprising.

Seriously--am I on Candid Camera?
No you are on D3sports.com Posts/ Post Patterns/ East Region Football/ Post Reply (Re: Empire 8)

That's pretty funny.   :)  It's especially funny on account of the fact that when you type a number 8 immediately next to a "close parenthesis" ), you get one of these: 8)

What about the Italian analyzers?

Muhlenberg did beat TCNJ but I feel that TCNJ's 7-1 is more impressive than Muhlenbergs 8-0.

I didn't suggest " 'Holy Crap' look at the Union win."

I don't know how to explain this to you, but I wasn't trying to claim that either win by itself was "Holy crapworthy."  If you (re)read my post, you'll see that I was referring to the TWO wins.

YES!  There is intelligent life in the SJFF quadrant of the PP Universe!  (Cue the crescendo of the Strauss music from "2001: A Space Odyssey")

Now you are mincing words...your post clearly said that the Mules had two noteworthy wins.  They were separate games werent they....or did TCNJ play offense and Union defense in the same game?  How else do you look at two wins but as two separate wins, with one being "Holy Crap" magnitude (TCNJ) and the OTHER GAME being just a quality win (Union)?   You want to analyze two separate wins as one "Holy Crap" win.   When the Mules beat MUC then you can claim all thre Holy Craps you want:

MUC +  Utica = Holy Crap....you must refer to the TWO wins combined

Feelings, nothing more than feelings, . . .

I understand, KS.  I don't know what instructions the Poobah gives his D3football.com poll voters regarding how to conduct their analyses of relative team strength.

If you were writing the D3football.com Poll Voters' Manual, what would you write in the section where you encourage poll voters to follow Obi-Wan's advice and "trust your feelings?"

I'm not trying to be a wiseguy, either.  I'm honestly curious to know how anyone draws the line where feelings become more valuable than thoughts.  I recognize that I'm limited, since I can't put enough faith in what I think might happen, in order to vote contrary to what I know did happen.

Muhlenberg is undefeated.
TCNJ has only one loss--to Muhlenberg.

I can't feel good about ranking TCNJ above Muhlenberg.

I was right.  I don't know how to explain it to you.

I wrote that 3 + 1 = 4: holy crap! 4!

I wasn't talking about 3 being holy crapworthy, and I wasn't talking about 1 being holy crapworthy.  I was talking about 4 being holy crapworthy.

If Muhlenberg had only beaten Union and not TCNJ, I'm sure I wouldn't have written "Holy crap! They beat Union!"

But they beat Union AND TCNJ!  Holy crap!

You'll have to ask another liberal artist to explain it to you.  This engineer can't figure out how to get through to you.

I read a few posts back that some think that a two loss team from the E8 and a two loss team from LL would get an at Large?  Does that ever happen?  Multi 2 loss teams get an at large from the east let alone only the E8 and LL?
