Bosox, I know you are a wick fan and you want respect for your team, but they have yet to show any strength on the road.... see Fisher, Ithaca and Alfred all beating lowly springfield and Norwich by double digits and Wick beat them by a combined 9 points... I will be happy if Fisher and Hartwick can both make the NCAA's but unless Hartwick gets a very favourable seed then expect them to be out by no later than the second round...when wick will most likely be on the road

youre not understanding me... I'm not trying to gain respect for hartwick... as i have said before if you have to earn respect on a discussion board you are in trouble.
I understand your arguement of the road games...

My point is... i just dont like the head to head win being disregarded.  Even though they were tight games and at the cage... they still won them  and to me thats it... they won period ... i dont care if they won by .5 points and the game was in a typhoon on mars... you know what i'm sayin?

I was at the game today... Hartwick looked great early then had to show some balls and make some big plays late... it was a good game.... sharpe is a stud... i dont know how many receiving yards he had though

Damn Springfield can't do anything right this season.  Assuming they beat Utica next week that officially eliminates Fisher from the Automatic Bid.  They will still be co-champs in the E8 though if Fisher beats Alfred.  That would keep the tradition alive of Fisher's E8 championships all having to be shared with another team.  Good times

And if Alfred beats fisher and wins the league, does Hartwick get the pool C over SJF?
under that scenario...neither goes

that's wrong one or the other will go because of the fact that the east region has to send at least one pool c and that will most likely be either Hartwick or Fisher...and bosox...I know how you feel it would not be right but the committee wants to put the best teams in the tourny and you can not honestly tell me that Hartwick is better than fisher... I say 7 out of 10 games on a neutral field fisher would win

I agree

The only problem then is that you have Alfred losing to Hobart.  So neither wick or sjf would make it over them if it came down to it.  Or to rpi for that matter if it comes down to them either....

You can say whatever you want.  Its your opinion.  But just like App St. isnt as good as Michigan, I dont think Hartwick is as good as SJF.

Everyone can keep yackin about it, but if Fisher beats AU they're in. They're not going to leave a team in the top ten out of the dance, they're just not. They want the field to be as strong as it possibly can be.

bosox, I am torn...If wick loses Fisher wins the E8 outright and is the #1 seed in the east... but I would like to see a rematch

now JU what happens if both Fisher and Wick make it...does wick become a higher seed, because of your they beat them philosophy or does Fisher get the higher seed

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

+k JU, I've been searching for that comment but couldn't find it. I'm hoping somehow Fisher can see 'Wick in the playoffs and end all they hype, a la Springfield in 2006.

Yea i get it... but you get what i'm sayin right?

realistic

ok - I apologize if this seems late or off topic.  Computer is being a pain and I have been trying to post this for about 20 minutes....

SJFF82 - Love the quotes. +K.

Bosox...I think the issue is that most of the posters feel that SJF or others have better shots in the playoffs than 'wick.  You're right 'wick did what they had to do and in reality you can't take anything away from them because they did beat IC and SJF.  However at this point, with one week left, I think there is a majority of people that feel that the deserving bids in the E8 are (in order) SJF, IC, 'wick, AU.  This is not fair or objective but I imagine it is how most people feel.

all that being said, I hate agreeing with SJF guys and in the long run, 'wick has probably done enough to get in over the rest if they take care of business next week.

However, I think that the E8 in it's awesomely competitive season has made itself a 1 bid conference.  I hope I am wrong on that.

SJF would probably be the higher seed because they are already ranked higher in the rankings.  But sometimes travel will come into play.  So you will probably have Curry at SJF or RPI, then the MAC champ at TCNJ or Wesley.  Then the other upstate teams will play each other.  If montclair gets in, they could be at TCNJ or Wesley or the MAC champ too....
