Soopah,

Wesley will be placed in the South region for traveling purposes I would think.  Just for fun, here is what I think the East will look like:

1. TCNJ (NJAC champion)
2. Fisher (Pool C)
3. RPI (LL champion
4. Hartwick (E8 champion)
5. Hobart (Pool C)
6. Widener (MAC champion)
7. Curry (NEFC champion)
8. Montclair State (Pool C)

Just curious on why Tags seems so quick to bash another team in the E8 on a national level.  On the national level, I would think it would benefit the whole league to get a Pool C bid this year and ensure there are two E8 teams in the NCAA's.

I've been pounding on the fact that a lot of teams have stepped it up this year and are making the East that much better as a whole, and that includes 'Wick. I think it's a great thing that a team like Hartwick has picked it up and made a name this year in the E8, why would I be against strengthening the conference?

It's also a fact that I still don't think 'Wick is that good, and would bow out in the first round, thus saying a remark FF82 made comparing Curry to 'Wick isn't that far off.

Just in case you're curious.

Hell...I don't think there is a soul on here that doesn't know you don't think 'Wick is very good.  However,...I believe they are the only team in the East to beat two top ten teams this year (IC and SJF)...and if they beat Utica will finish 8-2...not too bad for a team who isn't "very good".

Also...'Wick still needs help to make the NCAA's...so they aren't in yet.  To go from two 4-6 seasons in a tough E8 conference to even MAKING the playoffs is a huge step.  Much like when SJF finally cracked the tournament in 2004.

Wow, you're right. I'm not sure why I didn't think about it before, but since you think Hartwick is a really good team, that means I should as well.

And it may come as a shock, but I don't disagree with the second part of that at all.

Nobody should care this much if everyone likes Hartwick on a message board. If your team continues to win then things will take care of themselves.

Chill out & snag one of these - you'll be alright.

dude fact check...Ithaca was never a top ten team...and Fisher did not come out of nowhere in 2004 as in 2003 they stayed with every team they played and monkey stomped Cortland in the ECAC's

Johnny agreed the best shot that Ithaca has is for Union to take the LL...because if UofR takes the LL then RPI would have won and therefore I think RPI gets that spot before Ithaca...but you never know...all I know is that Fisher needs to win

Not saying SJF came out of nowhere in 2004...but generally a team gets respect for getting to the big dance...not making the ECAC's.  By the way...wasn't the score like 47-37...hardly a monkey stomp.

And according to "Daddy Dew Crew", who ranks the regional teams, IC was #8 in the east last week.  By rankings, I was only referring to regional rankings...not national...for that I apologize.  I am curious to see where he will rankteams this week.  I tell you what...can anyone find any other team in the east that has beaten as many teams with a record OVER .500 as 'Wick, who has 3 (IC, SJF, and Husson)?  I beleive if SJF wins this weekend, they would have 3 (IC, Rochester, and then Alfred).  IC only has has one victory over a team with a record above .500 in Alfred.

RedSwarm is an idiot...thank god he left the forum...hopefully he doesn't come back.

And has there ever been a team thats lost to a NEFC team nonleague and made the playoffs?

Point is:  Who cares.  Everyone needs to get the balance bars out of their unitards and hope the NCAA gods shine on the bombers.

Tags...easy buddy...I was laughing the whole time writing that post.  I honestly don't care if anyone likes 'Wick on here.  I think BoSox said it best...if you are looking for respect on this forum, generally used by a bunch of fat, balding, old ball players living out there glory days, you are in trouble.

You are taking things way too seriously...give yourself a +k or two and call it even.

Everybody,

I think some people owe DewCrew an apology for the serious bashing he took for ranking U of R in his weekly article.  Seems as if he was right about Rochester, they are truly on a roll right now.  They deserve to be ranked in the NCAA's regional rankings as well now.

Super,

youre probably right.  I was thinking about throwing Capital in there as the #8 seed in the East.  But, I doubt they will move Wesley up in the East.  Maybe Salisbury in the East?  Were gonna find out next Sunday.

That WNEC loss was a long time ago.  First game of the year.  Curious...when you bring up the 'Wick loss to IC and Fisher, it becomes "that was a long time ago, and we are playing way better now."  WNEC was a horrible, horrible loss.  Never should have happened.  But I give credit...'Wick got their act together and came out and did something that no one has ever done after that...beat IC and SJF in the same year.

I will, however, follow this up by saying both IC and Fisher are in fact playing very, VERY well.  I wouldn't want to see either of these teams in the playoffs...assuming, more like hoping, 'Wick makes it.

Good debates tonight...

You tell me where I bring up the Wick loss being "a long time ago".

Im just saying that Im not going to give Hartwick the team of the year award because they won two close games at home.  2 plays either way and we wouldnt even be talking about Hartwick this year.  Im not saying they are a bad team.  But through the whole season, it appears that they arent heads and shoulders above IC and SJF.

Agreed Tags...as I have before...I have all the respect in the world for Fisher.  The school administrators there have it right...their programs are very, very good in pretty much every sport.  I hope Hartwick moves in this direction and sees what a positive step it is for current students and alumni.

I don't know Tags...IC making it over 'Wick if they end up with the same record, and 'Wick winning the head to head?  I think it would be criminal...and would set a horrible precedent for all teams moving forward.

If I could...I'd give one of those +k things.  Tonight has been a good night.
