1)  Lost to Union........."It was an ECAC game...iC didn't care."
2)  Lost to RPI............."Snowed too hard....killed our chances."

and this year......

3)  Lost to Lycoming....."Overconfident after crushing them last year."
4)  Lost to Cortland......"That was cortica......gotta throw that game out the window due to the rivalry factor."

Union89 thought RedStorms arguments were brutal...."Let's compare scores against like opponents."  

Storm should run with....."Hey, RPI lost to both Union and Hobart.....those are rivalry games which should be thrown out the window."

The E8 is lucky it gets an AQ.....RPI is more deserving of a bid than ithica......

When did the LL get all high and mighty?  It couldnt have been all the respect you've gotten around the country this year w/ Union just cracking the top 25.

And Since everyone from the LL board has decided to come over here and bring up history... here's your history...

Ithaca- 3x National Champions & 7 Trips to the Big Game
Union- 0 National Championships...  2 Trips to the Big Game...

In fact no LL team has ever won a national title... and who deserves an automatic bid?  Get real.

I do, however, agree that the bombers will come off the bus ready to play.  They have seen what a bad half can do to the outcome last week, so they will have their minds in this game.

Hey, the LL has the biggest excuse maker of the century in Frank Rossi, so lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.  Lets not also forget that the LL has whined more than anyone the last few years over "respect".  Then the LL people whined this year about the d3football.com top 25.  And these were serious whines.

IC people blaming the 2003 loss in the snow is 90% of the time a joke.  But we all know it would have been a different game if the snowgame was played on a good field.  It might have been 48-21 RPI, it could have been 35-21 Ithaca, but it would have been a different game.  Of course Ithaca people are gonna feel bad about losing a game in those conditions where the game of football isnt the same brand of football that is played 99% of the time on a regular field.

Union89...... "underdog" Ithaca went to topseed rpi and smoked them in 2001,

In 2003 another "underdog" Ithaca went to RPI and barely lost.

If Ithaca played the nonleague schedule rpi played this year, they would be 10-0 and thats a fact.  They would also be playing Curry at home as the number 1 seed.  This is a year where rpi's pathetic nonleague schedule hurt them.  If they played brockport and Buffalo st instead of utica and endicott, RPI possibly would have gone to the ncaas over wilkes.  The pathetic nonleague rpi schedule helped them in 2001 where they got a top seed that everyone knows they werent the top east team in 2001.

I think I would give the LL the edge at the top of the division, the first 3 teams specifically, but if you take both divisions as a group, I think the E8 is just a little bit stronger overall.

bomber fans have officially found fans more annoying than cortland fans.

I am glad Ithaca is in the empire 8 for 2 reasons:

1- the teams and fans are respectful
2- better opponents who seek to play good out of league opponents

and lets not forget the reason Ithaca doesn't play Union during the regular season is because union's administration won't allow it.

I have been hoping all year for this matcheup. Should be a good game.

Holla dog, i was being nice, burnt isn't even the word to describe it.  I hate to hurt feelings.  But the fact that you guys bitch and complain about everything as you say we do doesn't have any bearing over the game.  Again, its not gonna be won on here but if you wanted to set up a game between E 8 posters and lL posters, i would be game and I would predict a E 8 win
