anyway-------------
looking forward to seein all at the game---looks like its going to be a nice crowd!!

with such a big game on the line, any estimate on how many people will be there for the game?  8,000?  9,000?  or is that way off?

3500-4000 tops...

that seems surprising to me.  Especially due to the significance of the game.  Then again,  I suppose since its not Homecoming, Parents weekend, or Alumni weekend there wouldnt be as many people in town for the game. Though, Rowdy was rather impressed with the travelers from Mayberry.  The last time Butterfield's visitors section was full was the last time Cortland was in town. Props to the Saxon parents and girlfriends for drivin up.

The Saxons have had solid support on the road from the parents all season, not to mention the AU Pep Band, which, for the first time in its 9-year history, will have hit all the Saxon games for 2007, starting with a 12-piece group who made the 3.5 hour trip to Greenville, PA to start the season.

The Mayberry crowd at Butterfield, indeed, filled the stands, but far more will be at Growney come Saterday. AU attracts a good portion of its students from Monroe County so for many it's combined with a weekend at home. One of Pep's trumpets is from Brockport and the Fisher game is a "family gathering." Plus AU has a good conglomeration of alumni in the Rochester area who love the Saxons, not the least of which is RedTackle's pops.

Pep has been pleased with the support for the Saxons...and the support for the pep band!

rowdy - I think it's tough to get that big of a number for most teams.  3500-4000 is pretty good.  IC only gets close to the 5 digits once a year.

I'd say St Johns is one of the only programs that consistantly has big numbers at every game.

Pep still wants to take in a game at Collegeville, MN....and get in on the Stiftungsfestivities....some day.

nah...remember the only time Fisher gets 5-6k is for UofR...3 and a half to 4 would be a great number for fisher...above average

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

The stands are always full for the important games....It's just that the stands don't hold that many people.  At least it makes it look like the place is jam packed.

Super can't even begin to imagine how big the crowd would be for a playoff matchup with the Honey Beez

Sometimes the problem with playoff games though is that the students are on turkeyday break.  But then again, most SJF students are probably from Crapchester anyway............
