as a fan of the NEFC i wouldnt want that to happen becuase i belive ITHACA would kill Curry... i dont think there is a team in the EASt playing as good as them at the end of the season... i hope Curry gets 'wick because that will be there best chance at ending the streak for the NEFC.

boxer even wick will be a hard game because of how explosive their offense is, they are very hard to keep up with

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

St. John Fisher Bracket
1. St. John Fisher (C)
2. Curry (A)
3. RPI (A)
4. Hobart (C)
5. New Jersey (A)
6. Hartwick (A)
7. Ithaca (C)
8. Widener (A)
A surprise, perhaps, right off the bat as we have three Empire 8 teams in the field. Hartwick passed Widener in opponents' winning percentage (OWP) and OOWP this week and dragged Ithaca up with them. Widener plays at St. John Fisher, Ithaca at Curry, Hartwick at RPI and New Jersey at Hobart.

how big would that be for a) the east to get 3 pool c's b) the e8 to get two of the pool c's and I for one would love to see the RPI-Wick game

They got 32/32 last year.. Ithaca getting in over Wheaton would be slightly shocking to me...  I think if you see wheaton on the board first, Ithaca is out, and vice versa... 32nd and 33rd teams, I think.

I have to get this out before the Selection Committee has a chance to blow Pat and Gordon's prediction all to hell:

I was on the record weeks ago, saying that I thought a 2 loss team from the Erratic8 or the Liberty League was a good bet for a Pool C bid.

If Pat and the crew are right, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Fisher vs. Ithaca East Region Championship game.  I doubt Widener can beat Fisher.  And Ithaca would beat Curry handily IMHO.

Imagine Fisher and IC in the East title game.  This board would explode with smack talking.  Which would be quite fun.

ECAC Potential Playoff Teams (Declared as of Last Thursday's Deadline)

1. 8-1 - Plymouth State University (NEFC)
2. 8-2 - Coast Guard Academy (NEFC)
3. 7-2 - Ithaca College (E8)
4. 7-3 - Alfred University (E8)
5. 7-3 - Cortland State (NJAC)
6. 6-3 - Bridgewater State College (NEFC)
---------------------------------------------------
5-4 - Union College (LL)
6-4 - University of Rochester (LL)
5-4 - Nichols College (NEFC)

ATTENTION ITHACA FANS
According to a reliable source, Ithaca withdrew from ECAC Playoff consideration last week.  Therefore, the sixth slot is open for Union, Rochester and Nichols.  Since there are already three teams chosen from New England, it is likely that another New York team will be selected.  Therefore, Union or Rochester will likely be selected for the final ECAC slot.   The conference call will be held at 8pm EST Sunday.

OK so I was going to post on this, that it works out on what Mr N and I were talking about earlier, that IC would rather end the season on a Monkey Stomp of Cstate in front of 10,000 at home than do an ECAC game, so it doesn't surprise me.  But then PC and the crew predict the extra E8 pool C bid that we all talked about and us IC fans were trying to ignore because we didn't think it would really happen.  Holy Sh*t I am so excited.  I can't wait til the selection show.

PC - you are set on my DVR.  Let's do this!  Go E8.

I think it was clear before your record (to me anyway) that a 2 loss team basically had to get pool C bids from the east.

As I leave for the day, Good luck to Fisher, Ithaca and Hobart on trying to get Pool C bids (Fisher is certain, while Hobart and Ithaca -- who knows).

I also hope Pat is right, Ithaca probably could do some damage in the playoffs... Imagine a Fisher/Ithaca rematch, or either Fisher or Ithaca vs. Hartwick again?  Should be interesting.

I must say pep good to meet you today...sorry that you guys had to sit through that...

Pleased to meet you as well, Super....and Tags. But Pep's question is "Who was sitting?" Pep was on the top row of the wonderful facilities at Fisher and had to semi-stand through the entire game in order to see anything. Come second half, those who had been "sitting" in front of Pep moved perhaps because they wanted to actually see the rest of the game.

Call it sour grapes if one must, but Pep will once again post his complaint that Fisher's provisions for visitors is sorely inadequate and is a bad reflection on the college. Add to that the inability to read the scoreboard when the sun is shining....it really should be at the opposite end of the field IPHO. Pep won't even go into the portapotties. For all the money from the Bills, with some proper planning, it would seem Fisher could have come up with a much better Growney Stadium.

AU, despite its costly turnovers, still put up a fight and was within a TD at 25-18 before a demoralizing slip/blown coverage on a critical third down play resulting in a Fisher TD.

Pep was not enamored with Fisher students' chanting which also showed a lack of class. As for AU students' shenanigans, Pep was not on the Fisher side this year and was unaware of it and, had Pep heard it, would have done what he could to have put it to an abrupt end. That problem right there could easily have been avoided if Fisher would provide sufficient bleachers with a view on the visitors' side, thus keeping AU fans together!

Congrats to Fisher and best of luck along with Hartwick....and hopefully Ithaca, in representing the Empire 8 in the NCAAs. While obviously it's not what Pep or anyone from AU wanted, perhaps AU will take its fourth straight ECAC bowl championship.

Wasnt it the same DB that caught the INT on the 2yd line, resulting in a sack/safety the following play?

I forget how the brackets are structured after the first round but if Ithaca is the 7 seed and win their first round and Fisher wins their game, wouldn't they meet in the 2nd round since Ithaca would be the lowest seed left?

Pep has earned his keep on the boards, but geez Pep...would you have been terribly disappointed with the stands AND a win?

I agree the stands suck, but it is not like they did it on purpose.  You should remember that when I played....THOSE STANDS were the ones that my parents (as the home fans) had to sit in.  There were no portapotties, no concessions, no turf, no lights, a very simple scoreboard and no E8PP for visiting teams' fans to complain on the next morn after their team lost...

82 - sorry i missed you---ended up pacing the sidelines the whole game!
good luck with the twins!!
