guys guys guys, i know the sabres are playin bad now but they will get out of it, no need to insult them like that.
and a bills scout will be in alliance saturday, no pun intended for the nyers, but he wont be there for anyone from ithaca.

Honestly, there isnt one guy on MUC's roster that would make it past a work out.....

Honestly, you're wrong but that's your opinion.  People paid to scout college talent would disagree.

Ironic twist: Your Buffalo Bills thought enough of a former Mount Union QB to add him to your roster a few years back.  Now that's honest...and funny!

Sure, there's always a diamond in the rough type kid, but let's face it - if they were really that good, we wouldn't be talking about them being at Mt. Union.

How overly confident are these folks in Mt. Union... holy 'ish that's annoying.

did anybody read the team capsules?
under how far will they go---in the east bracket every one says the road ends in alliance.

hmmm.

they have already crowned muc--so why bother play the games right?

god- i just wish somebody would beat them already!

"THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE"

Oddly enough, we say that every year and with 12 consecutive trips to the semifinals we have yet to be wrong.
Oddly enough, I get the sense that the staff at d3.com is a bit perturbed that 'they' did not predict all 32 or more importantly 'see it coming'...."it" meaning the shake-up of the brackets.  I have read countless comments either on daily dose, ATN, PP blogs that suggest as much to me.  And with all the "SJF Fan" banter on the Daily Dose the past few days, it seems that the D3.com staff, among banning posters from expressing their opinion about the OAC, is going out of its otherwise impartial way to pay lip service to MUC's reign supreme.  No biggy...just my observations.

SJF-

Really, what would you like them to do?  If you look at the bracket objectively, who else but Mount Union would be the pick to win?  They've been number one in the polls for almost three years now.  No one is trying to disrespect [enter school name here] by writing "The road ends when they get to Alliance."  They're picking a winner, and Mount is the who they've chosen.  Can you really blame them for that?

boobyhasgameyo

The Bills scouting Mount players is not a huge deal, it seems like every other day Fisher players are working out for them.  I personally know 3 that did.  Plus Fisher had a TE sign with the Kansas City Chiefs a couple years back, it's really not an accomplishment no other team has ever done before.

Toph, I do not understand your response in as much as it does not respond to anything I posted.  I said nothing of d3.com's objective predictions...in fact I objectively think that MUC will win every play-off game by at least 11 pts (SJF WILL CLOSE THE GAP BY 1 PT OVER LAST YEAR  ;))  I was expressly referring to the non-objective, subjective if you will, banter by d3.com staff that is permeating the boards.  It is one thing to get the MUC posters and East posters slinging mud, but should the 'impartial' staff join in the 'MUC' this, 'MUC' that talk as well?  Maybe they should...it was just my subjective opinion and observation...

ooops...here's my re-post:

I'm not overconfident and I can tell you that the Mount Union players and coaches are not either.  I was responding to a poster that has no idea about the talent level of MUC this season.  I have never posted one negative word about Ithaca's talent or that this weekend's game was already in the bag for MUC.  I respect both teams but I don't make comments about someone's skill set unless I have some evidence or knowledge behind me...unlike Upstate's comments against Mount's players.

I guess I didn't realize that you didn't post the original quote.  I guess I haven't seen it as much as you (maybe my OAC glasses make it tougher to see), but I wouldn't say that Pat or any other member of the staff has really gotten into the "mudslinging" that has been going on between the east and MUC/OAC posters.  Have they really been "rah-rah MUC" or are they just expressing their opinion?

By the way, I have a fairly universal "Mount This" with a lightning bolt pointing down...if anybody needs a shirt for game day.   ;)  It's even blue and white...with a little gold.

EDIT:  I didn't give you -k...that was somebody else.

Ortiz wasn't a part-timer in Minnesota.  The only thing that changed for him was hitting in front of Manny Ramirez.  Ortiz is much easier to pitch around when Cory Koskie/Doug Mietkiewicz/AJ Pierzynski are hitting behind him.  Without Manny, Ortiz is a slightly above average ballplayer.

I think that's BS Jose. Protection in the lineup doesn't matter all that much.

you are both off a bit

hscoach,
you are the man, you should write on rics site, maybe a raider weekly type thing, or a spin off of his tale of the tape. its good stuff. and i would say that 04 might have been an offensive rebuilding year, losing most of the o-line and the wr's.
and we all wanna be like tommy gavin

What are you guys thinking on the E8 player of the year honors this season?  Very tough calls thi season!  My predictions:

Offensive Player of the Year:  Jason Boltus, QB, Hartwick College
Defensive Player of the Year: Steven Stepnick, DB, St. John Fisher College
Rookie of the Year:  I have absolutely no idea!!
Coach of the Year:  Coach Carr, Hartwick College

I posted this not too long ago.  I was right on Boltus, Stepnick, and Coach Carr.  Jason Springer, Norwich LB, was rookie of the year.
St. John Fisher College...King of the East

Also, I was a bit surprised to see WR Jimmy Smith, of SJF, on the second team offense.  The kid had something like 40 catches with 12 TD's, If Im not mistaken.  He's a big play receiver.

But, all in all, the selections were pretty accurate and well done.

I wouldn't say David Ortiz is only "an above average ball player."   That guy is downright scary with a bat in his hands.  Whenever he is at the plate, something good happens.  He can hit for average and power.

Yo TheBS, everybody knows you're a player. Just go back to pretending you're a starter.
