the difference is, at the end of the day, the two teams and their fans have respect for each other

for example- i would bet fisher is rooting alfred to win their ecac game and vice versa... correct me if i'm wrong

(of course there are always those few fans who ruin it and make the rest  of the fans look bad... maybe this board is a case in point of union fans)

No, only posters with good standing are eligable to play in the E8-LL "Pat Coleman" Cup.  He would have to reapply to d3football.com in order to be eligible.

I am rooting for All E-8 teams this weekend.....and if by chance there are no E-8 teams still playing after this weekend I'll be rooting for the upstate NY teams.....

Rules of the "Coleman Cup"

1.)  A neutral site will be in place and by neutral I mean Butterfield, lol.  No really

2.) It will be a full 11 on 11 game that does include tackling.  Engin, that's 22 players, I can count even though I'm from "ithIca"

3.) Originality of jersey is welcomed but no points will be added.  

4.)  Pat is guest referee along with John Cena, side Judge, and Mic Foley stops by to say "IC dumb people"

5.) To be eligible, you must be a "current" poster, sorry edge, now's the time to reapply.

6.) Finally, RT, Holla, Lew and others must show up in pads, cheerleading outfits are not the same boys

Ok....Dawg's done talking smack and wants to talk football.  What's the deal w/the Baez/Donovan combo???  Do any of those guys have big play ability??  They kinda share carries don't they???  Most backs need to get alot of touches to get in the flow of the game to be productive.  Do either of them have over 1000 rushing yds on the year??  Does the IC have a threat at TE??  And their D....rumor has it they are pretty banged up??  Hows the secondary/LB's (excluding "Jovan Musk" Colon - Dawg already knows he's good) and D line??  Anyone wanna fill the Dawg in with the 411???

donovan usually starts the game and baez will come in if donovan is ineffective.  Donovan has also been hurt off and on.  Baez is faster, quicker and has the ability for big break runs.  donovan is more of a power runner and if the hole is there, is more dangerous than baez.  He just takes off straight and runs hard.  James Davis is their third back and is very solid and can easily do the job.

at wr, esposito is probably the best, but gordon and canestrari are also great.  The passing game is unstoppable if felleciti doesnt make mistakes.

the tes are also big solid targets who get open.

the fb and rbs also get a lot of passes.  Ithacas fullback will probably be the biggest guy on the field.  He is short but strong, fast and he can move with the football.

the defense is solid all around but does much better when pressure is put on the qb.  From the four games I saw live, when the linebackers blitz, the dbacks do better.  If the dbacks have to think or play zone too much, they get burnt.

overall the defense is very athletic.  Even the dbacks are the best athletes on the field.  If they pick off a pass, look out.

Your support of E8 teams is appreciated, logical and sensible.  However, the incident that I have referred to involved an individual player, not directed at the team.  No, it wasn't Gatto, but worse it pertained to an injured player as I gather you were not at the game.
