Gentlemen:

First of all to compare Kramer and Juvan is a joke in my book (although it is a very biased book)
Kramer has gone 4-1 in the playoffs and Juvan has only seen 1 post season game in the same amount of time.  The only reason you guys were seeing Kramer have happy feet last year was because for the entire game, he barely had time to pass.  Anyone that was there saw that he was getting to the back of his drop and then being hit.  HOWEVER, when he did get time to throw, he made absolutely huge plays that kept us in the game ( the out pass to Smith that broke and the pass down the middle to Reile that set us up for a TD).

So to say that Kramer is comparable to Juvan in my humble opinion is a joke, the only reason people would think that is cause DJ looks like a stereotypical quarterback while Kramer,  well..... doesn't.
Being able to throw the ball 60 yards and be 6'3 doesn't make you a winning quarterback automatically in any level.  Kramer is a leader and is cool under pressure, I'd take him over any other quarterback in the D3 game right now.

edit: This is not me coming out of the closet and confessing my love to one, Rob Kramer, just stating my point now that I finally got to read PP's on a night off ;D

Well said Robby.  I would take Kramer over Juvan as well.  Although Juvan might have the more impressive physical tools, Kramer is a much better QB when it comes to game management.  And he rarely makes any mistakes.  But, thats just my humble opinion  ;)

I think there is two issues here.  The first one is comparing careers as a whole up to this point.  If the only games I saw of Juvan was last years Cortland game and two SJF games, Kramer would be the better qb.  But if anyone went to the game on Sat, (especially someone who say both MUC/IC/SJF games, Juvan was perfect and probably looked like the better qb (didnt an MUC fan already say this?).  He had his career best in passing yards against Mt. Union!  Juvan is getting better plain and simple.  Maybe IC saw something in MUCs defense that they really exploited?  I dont know.

Bottom line: Juvan is a different qb now then he was early in the season and easily last year.

Don't push it too much '91 --- sounds like the Mrs. was pretty good this year already ;)

Hmmm...I THINK I clearly indicated that my opinion was based on watching both of them against Mount.  I get it that the SJF faithful are going to be solid behind "their guy".  I have no dog in this fight, so I was offering an unbiased opinion on the comparison.

And for someone to say Kramer is the best QB in D-III football (if you would take him over anyone else you must believe that), they are wearing SJF-colored glasses for sure.  Hey...there's nothing wrong with that as long as you realize what it is.....blatant fandom in the face of reality.

We over here in Mount-land would argue that we just MIGHT have the best QB in D-III.  Maybe in two weeks we can bet a cold one on who wins the QB battle.

Hey......is Curry better than all you guys thought?  Let's see....they KILLED Hartwick....who BEAT Fisher....hmmm....most posters on this site would tell you that it means they MUST be better than SJF right?   ;D

Robby is biased, he came out and said that.

You think you've got the guy? Hell, I'd look good with that line, Kmic running, and Garcon & co.

Hartwick was vastly overrated, and couldn't beat anyone on the road --- Curry exploited both.

'Wick beat both Fisher & Ithaca at home by something like 3 points total. You saw Ithaca, and I am thinking you can understand that Ithaca & Fisher are clearly better, but played sh*tty at Hartwick early in the year.

The excitement of us Ithaca folks is that it appears that Juvan is turning the corner.  He was admittedly a basketcase in last year's Fisher game, a mess in last year's Cortland, and mediocre this year against Fisher.

The exciting part is that he started to relax against Cortland this time around.  He was cool when the pocket was collapsing, and checked down to his receivers numerous times, which he was a long way from doing in the past.  There are still issues with touch in the red zone, but if he can get comfortable in the pocket.... look out, his ceiling is world's higher than Kramers.

Re-loading at running back isn't a plus, but is rarely a concern.  They've got a boatload of talent with Begerstock, Kulp, Crandall, Ruggiero, and Baumgartner. One of those guys will step up big.  A lot of the talent comes back from the O-Line as well, which is great news, since they came a long way this year, after a shaky start.

Wide Receiver may be more of a question mark.  For the first time in my nine years, I'm starting to see dropped passes.  I think we got a bit spoiled with the Welch, Esposito, and mcCaffery's of the world.  Crandall turned the corner this year though as a deep threat, and they love that Tight End who should be in the mix more.

I think we need a kicker.  Bad.

Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

What I was really impressed was the youth on defense.  Every time I saw a big hit or big play on defense at the MUC game, I looked at the program and saw sophs and frosh making them.  That Lonson Becker (freshman?) had one of the biggest hits Ive seen in a while.  I was impressed with them.

As for the Wrs, I think they might be ok next year as well.  The TE and Crandall is enough to make any fan happy next year, and as for the RBs, Im sure someone will step up, but 3 of 5 lineman are comming back as well.

Im excited for next year.

Isn't there a TE Bostic?

He caught a few vs. Fisher & I don't know why they don't use him more - he seems like he's got good size & hands.

Yea Weverbaugh (the starter sp?) is legit.  He is like a WR in terms of speed, but seems to be a great blocker (passing anyway vs. MUC) as well.
