I love reading the guessing you guys are doing.  Garcon did not return kicks until the playoffs.  That's why his return number is low.  You'll have Garcon, Kmic and Wray back deep.  Guys just ask, looking forward to a good game.

Don't try to part behind the visitor stands, that's media/muc on campus student parking and you need either a media pass or muc student parking pass to get in. There's a big lot behind the home stands and numerous lots across the steet.  Word to the wise, don't pay to park, unless you have money to burn.  Local establishments have started charging to park in their nearby lots.  There will be plenty of FREE parking.

I could have sworn I saw #4 Craig Nickoli back deep for a kick.  I do remember Wray now though too.....

And I would go out and buy a referees shirt and try to park in the referee parking lot.  MUC baseball players will be checking at the gate there.  Someone has to try it anyway.

Seriously though, when you pull into the main gate, take a right and then another right.  Lots of spots in that little lot there an hour before the game (maybe 2 for this one?)

Quick refresher on Garcon, for those who might not know how he rolls:

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/college.php?DSTeamId=299&sortorder=tsxpos&order=ASC

Im very suprised that Don Brown at Umass (Norwich Grad and former Plymouth St. coach) didnt get his hands on Garcon.  Something wierd about the whole Mt. Union thing.....

From the sounds of it, Garcon wanted nothing to do with Norwich when he high-tailed it out of there.  His M.O. has appeared to be the NFL Draft since that point, and MUC probably was an easier route -- outclass all other opponents with superior skill so that comparisons to other players are somewhat tough to make and then hope for a few good combines.

He might have done better for himself at Umass though too.  Top 1-AA team and a free education would have gotten me there....

The Baseball players got fired.  Now you have to deal with the wrestlers, which may or may not be easier to trick, but probably a group you'd rather not piss off. LOL

Alright. I'll take your advice. 530 am is going to be an awful early start time... but I'm hoping an arrival about an hour before the game is enough time....

Yes and no -- he's projected for the 7th round of the NFL Draft right now.  $45,000 of education seems to be a bit cheap if it's a better route to get you the NFL minimum rookie's salary as a minimum next year.

I dont think Mt. Union going to make you any better for the pros than a Umass would have.  And Garcon would be starting for them as well.

Numbers get scouts' attention, though.  When you combine the numbers with the higher profile MUC has, and probably a guarantee internally of a lot of playing time, he was pretty well set for getting the exposure he needed.  A jump to I-AA would have meant less playing time, lower stats and higher risk.  While I'm not a Garcon fan, I think it was a sensible move on his part for his M.O.

RE: Garcon &  NFL

Since Garcon is obviously the second coming of Ted Ginn Jr. in Ohio, I would have suggested he go directly to OSU instead of MUC when he opted out of Norwich.

I honestly think it came down to him wanting to catch balls from Micheli instead of Troy Smith.

Where've you been hiding, Tags?  You going to Alliance?

Im thinking a jump to 1-AA would give him the same amount of playing time, with a better qb (At Umass anyway) to really showcase his talents.

Then again, maybe he would be just another 1-AA wr that doesnt get drafted at all.....

Do 7th rounders get money though?

If they perform well enough to get signed in the end, sure.

Just ask Marques Colston from New Orleans, one of the last picks in the 7th round out of Hofstra....
