just got back from the Ithaca vs Fisher game. Talk about a story of two halves.

Fisher was lucky to be down by only 10 in the first half, Ithaca absolutely dominated on both sides of the ball, but failed to turn one or two drives into points.

Second half... well basically 3rd quarter was a nightmare. Fisher scored 21 unanswered points, and were on about the 2 yard line as time ran out in the quarter, so essentially 28-0 third quarter for IC. Very dissapointing on both sides of the ball.

Lets see how we regroup as we face a good brockport team at their homecoming. Must win out now for playoffs.

agreed...can beleive how that game unfolded.   Completely unexpected.  How many yards did Lynch end up with?

Don't know, trying to look at stats to no avail (haven't updated the site yet) and they never mentioned his stats again after the one time they mentioned it.

whoa..Paterno runs off the field during a play???   Possibly a case of the runs ???

Saying he had to go to the bathroom probably was not something they should have said on the broadcast though... lol

This is unbelievable. I go to my flag football game with the Bombers up 10-0, seemingly dominating Fisher on both sides of the ball, and then I come back to this. My step-dad and younger brother went to the game and they pretty much echoed what trueblue said: It was a tale of two halves. My step-dad also told me as the two teams were running off for half the theme of the conversation in the Ithaca stands was "we should have buried this team by now" and "we should be up at least three touchdowns." If's and But's. The turning point of the game was the long run by Robinson...that really lit a fire under Fisher and the game was never the same.

OriginalUpstate, allow me to respectfully disagree with you as you were bashing the Fisher coaches (who now look like geniuses) throughout the entire first half. The game plan was obvious. Ithaca was loading the box against Robinson. They wanted to get the 8th defender out of the box. How do you do that? You try to get your vertical passing game going. This is where the pass sets up run, and not the other way around. Fisher NEVER had any intention of "abandoning" the running game. It was all a ploy. You should know this.

I also agree with the sentiment that if IC goes in to half up 21-0, that pretty much takes Fisher's RB's out of the game. I think the theme for IC in this game has to be one of missed opportunities and learning how to deliver the knockout punch when you have your opponent on the ropes like they had Fisher in the first half.

Ugh, I hate Paul Mcguire... "Well it's in your mouth...GET IT OUT!"

Rough game at Fisher. I think this steps it up to at least a rivalry jr. Especially now that they hate our fans, and we hate them.

The FDC is obnoxious, to be sure, but stealing all our chants, and then doing a mock ooga booga during our "well done fisher"? Come on.

IC's defense was atroucious in the second half. We still don't have a secondary and Robinson looked like he was running cross country on those two TD runs. Juvan's going to have to be able to deliver more of a knockout punch if he wants to take IC to the playoffs on the shoulders of that D.

Oh, and to the old guy that screamed "welcome to football IC," thank you very much. Don't worry, when Robinson graduates, you can go right back to being a club team.

Tecmo brought up at the game.... this one hurts recruiting in Rochester. This is a big win for Fisher's coaches to point to. Yikes.

This one hurt bad though. Here's looking toward Brockport.

NANA NANA NA NA Hey Hey Good bye... doesn't matter if the school 70-0 at half all that matters is the score when the final whistle blows and fisher smoked IthaCAN'T win in Pittsford in the second half, wow this feels good fisher should jump in the rankings after this win.

Well that was intelligent!  Can't you be graceful in victory?

Thats ok.  Now I have to explain to people this week that Ithaca lost to a school that no one has ever heard of.

"Is it a Junior College?"

"Is it a girls school?"

"Is that a high school?"

These are the questions that I have to answer this week.

Oh, and by the way.  The answer to the above questions is (I don't know, no, and I dont think so)

FLA10

fisher fans are the worst.  Class-less

boobyhasgameyo

are you guys kidding me? the worst fans? the FDC was there being louder than our entire crowd yelling we suck and saying this is our house.  I was next to Ithaca fans near the endzone and they were making excuses as soon as the game was over, as if they didn't just lose by 24.  Yes if they converted they could have taken out momentum and most likely win the game, but I really hate those damn arguments because we could be like well if our tight end didn't have a key fumble, if number 2 didn't drop two huge passes in the first half, if robinson didn't lose yardage for 2 almost safeties instead of running for positive yardage like he always does.... those what if's can go either way.  i'm not going to rub in the victory like other people might but for the love of god give us credit.

boobyhasgameyo

and fisher being a school you never heard of? why did you decide to just jump into the conversation and say stuff like that? i know it's trash talk and trying to belittle an obviously good team when you know people in the d3 football world have in fact heard of Fisher.  I think we have been really kind this week and not deserving of any bashing after a really good win.
