well don't forget we're a "dry campus" and Catholic oriented.... that means (unfortunately) leaving the tailgating at home....

Where are the coffee mugs and plastic cups? Better yet, direct me to the doctors as soon as I get off the bus!  ::)

Catholic oriented means fun.  And the dry campus should stay exactly where it belongs.....back at the dry campus!

Hey little sister....where is that bus......Hey little sister, bring drinks for all of us....!

Okay here's the reason: "The Day of Celebration" is an event on the same day as MU vs. Fisher game. It's an event of diversity and SGA is trying to promote the Diversity office and they're committing themselves to that - and that they didn't want to fund a bus to take away from the student community that might take away from this event. - Straight from the Prez of SGA.

-- to compensate, he said that because SGA donated $350 dollars to "The Day of Celebration" event, they felt it was only fair to donate the same amount of money to the students for the game and bought tickets -- which can be purchased ahead of time tomorrow and thursday for $4 for students and $8 for adults.

He also said that RSA is looking into getting a bus but they're running into problems because of the short notice. HERE'S HOPING!

What better way to promote diversity than to send a cross-section of your student body to Alliance, Ohio to root on their football team?!

OK, maybe that was a stretch, but that's how you gotta sell it!  Good luck -- and if you can't make the game, I hope you can at least listen to the broadcast.

Oh man, a 7 hour bus ride with college students?  Thats trouble plain and simple......Im daydreaming as I type this..........

One winter, a long time ago, I travelled to UofR/Laboratory for Laser Energetics every Sunday evening.  Returned to Alliance (just blocks from MUC every Friday evening.

Will it disappoint you or please you to learn that my drive, at close to the speed limit was 4 and a half hours - not 7?

"We don't know if Steve (Stepnick) will be able to play. He has a high ankle sprain. He was making a great open field tackle and it just twisted the wrong way. I am not sure of his status for Saturday. We will monitor how he progresses. It affects us because we have good back ups but (Steve) Stepnick is a great tackler and a special player. Anytime you lose a guy like that, it will hurt. We are going to do what we do and Steve (Stepnick) is so special, he allows us to do certain things defensively, but we're not going to change much and stay how we have always been." Yea dont know.  I drove from Nigara Falls and it was over 3.5 hours.  And I was flying (got pulled over by an Ohio Trooper going 94mph on Rt. 11)

It's nice of them to have edited the real version, which is:

"We don't know if Steve (Stepnick) will be able to play. He has a high ankle sprain. He was making a great open field tackle while simultaneously pushing a little girl out of the way of a city bus, rescuing a cat from the highest branch of a tree and ridding the world of all known diseases and it just twisted the wrong way and was then stepped on by the Curry guy that pushed the girl out there in the first place. I am not sure of his status for Saterday. Most teams don't give a sh!t about their injured players' progress but we will monitor how he progresses. It affects us in the sense that all teams are affected by injuries to players on those teams because we have good back ups but (Steve) Stepnick is a great tackler and a special player; oh, I'm sorry, earlier in this sentence I forgot the meaning of the word "because". Anytime you lose a guy like that, it will hurt that guy because it's painful to get hurt. We are going to do what we do and most certainly NOT what we don't do, and Steve (Stepnick) is so utterly fabulously and remarkably palpably wonderfully special, he allows us to do certain things defensively like stop the opposing offense from gaining yards and, therefore, points, but we're not going to change our underwear much and stay how we have always been: kinda smelly." Fisher's head coach Paul Vosburgh
