Utah, went to the Everett vs. BC High Playoff game tonight in Lowell....left at halftime, Everett up 28-0.

Not sure if Everett looked that dominant or BC High looked AWEFUL!!!!!!!

yea I had to work and I missed the games.

Everett, and the Everett coaching staff are the real deal.  They are the best in Massachusetts and no other school even comes close to those guys do.  Xaverian and BC Highs (and a lot of catholic schools besides CM) playcalling baffles me all the time...

Went to the game with a buddy.  We were joking that every BC High pass play looked like a jailbreak screen, and every run was stopped for a loss.  The BC crowd was screaming for the coaching staff to throw every down....two points, the o-line was barely slowing down the d-line and to your previous point, BC's qb wasn't very good.  With that relentless Everett rush, I think BC High threw 1 screen in the 1st half......brutal play calling.

More importantly...How did the old stadium look?

LD, stadium was pretty sweet....looked like new turf.  How many people does the stadium hold....I would guess in the neihborhood of 8,000??

Loved the tunnels and archways under the stands...

Where were you the old Cawley Stadium?

I think that's what it is called.....I try to avoid that part of the state at all costs....I hear the water is bad and makes you grow up to be a 'horse toothed jackass'.

Horse toothed jackass???  Was that directed at me?  I hope not...ouch...

Anyway, yeah, they put in the new turf last year.  They redid under the stadium the year after I left.  It's in pretty good shape.  The visitor stands aren't bad.  I played in front of about 10,000 there before, but they usually crowd around the stadium too, so I woul dbe willing overall they can hold a solid 10-15K with standing room.  The baseball stadium behind it used to be where the spinners played, and they did when I was there.  it was pretty sweet playing on a slick minor league field in HS.  Then I got to RPI and played baseball my freshman year at a field that was worse than every stadium I played at in the MVC...except Lawrence.

I was pretty impressed with the facility.....I figured a Howard fan would appreciate the reference.

Jonny Utah

I went there in 2001? to see some games (Chelmsford/St. Johns Prep and Lowell/Xaverian).  I thought they were going to get rid of it and I think the Boston lax team started playing there and might have put some money into it (LD probably knows).  Then Umass Lowell got their own stadium right on campus with pretty small stands and nice turf (only to cancel their program a year or two later).

But Cawley Stadium is pretty cool with big stands on one side and those big trees on the other.

I remember playing in the Manning Bowl in Lynn in a Pop Warner game once.  That was a cool stadium.

Damn that sucks about the bus, I really didn't want to take my car down to Ohio but now looks like I will be forced to....Not sure if they would let an alumni get on the bus anyway (although I am only 23, could pass for 20, and have my ID still so I was willing to pretend to be a current student).

I am willing to take 1 person from post patterns with me all I ask is you pay for all of the gas and a small convenience fee of about $150 which is subject to increase 2 fold if you don't provide adequete conversation or make things awkward in any way (awkward silences, etc.)

Since I've been forbidden to talk to any E8PPer by the OAC board, I guess it would cost me $300+gas, then.  Damn!

Frank, are you upset that both ric and reality check are 'disappointed' in you?  They said you were acting like a father figure during the broadcast/altercation arguement....your allowance may be suspended this week.....

I really can't get over their lectures of frank.  God forbid anyone has fun on this entertainment site.

No jokes, no pictures, no links, no saying it will be a close game when MUC is involved....
Why should I say it is going to be a close if I don't think it will be?

Hey booby are you aware that we have an airport within 20 minutes drive of MUC? If it fits in your budget,  you can use the airport code CAK to schedule a flight. Its a very nice quick in and out airport too. Enjoy the game you E8'ers.
