There are no excuses for IC in that game, don't get us wrong. The safety would have helped, but it's not the point. IC SUCKED that game up. You heard it here first.

Booby, every time Fisher did something your crowd would turn and scream at us. I don't think I heard them cheer for Fisher once.

Fisher smoked IC, deserved the victory, Fisher fans suck.

By the way, RPI lost today too, so I don't know why you're even here, parking police.

Ok so Ithaca fans can dish it out, but when they're beat they can't take it.  We had to hear how you guys were gonna run all over us and we all gave real close predictions showing super respect when all you did was clown us.  Now that we won a game big we have our due to celebrate and talk some trash.  If you read any of my other posts I'm joking and have a ton of respect for the IC foot ball team and no Fisher was originally an all Guy school and no a lot of People have not heard of Fisher which makes it all the better of a school because it is still small. Jeez people learn to not tale stuff so personal

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

boobyhasgameyo

well all i am saying is that yelling was going on from both sides, and like i said from the endzone where i was at which included fans of both sides it was civil.

p.s. springfield continues to impress

I do give Fisher Credit...blowing out Ithaca is an accomplishment, and I actually deemed fisher the best team upstate right now on another board.

And I do agree that Springfield may be the bigger more surprising story of the year...

NANA NANA NA NA Hey Hey Good bye... doesn't matter if the school 70-0 at half all that matters is the score when the final whistle blows and fisher smoked IthaCAN'T win in Pittsford in the second half, wow this feels good fisher should jump in the rankings after this win.

Well that was intelligent!  Can't you be graceful in victory?

Ok so getting bashed for joking around after we througly beat one of the Better teams in the East if not the best.

Brockport 24
Ithaca 10

jeez give yourself some respect I say Ithaca is throughly motivated and destroy's port, I say 35-10 Ithaca,  I see this like siblings with fisher ithaca, I will rub it in your face when we are finally able to beat you, but it does me no good if Ithaca continues to lose because that hurts Fisher's SOS  So great game fisher, best of luck the rest of the season ithaca and hopefully we will see you guys in the post season

the coaches are giving credit to here is a quote

We felt extremely fortunate to be down just 10-0 at intermission, because they really dominated us," said Fisher head coach Paul Vosburgh, now in his 16th season. "We really didn't make any adjustments at halftime, we just stepped up the intensity in the second half and both our offense and defense rose to the occasion."

Just got home from the Ithaca-St. John Fisher game. To echo Mr. Horton's statement, a tale of two halves. Before I get to my game thoughts, congratulations to St. John Fisher. It's hard to believe not too long ago, you were being blown out on a weekly basis and the joke of the East region. Super job by Coach Vosburgh and his staff to turn that program around.

Ithaca certainly had all the momentum heading into the locker room after pushing Fisher around in a majority of the first half. Juvan was throwing at will, mostly to Heenehan and over the middle on quick slants and Ithaca was asserting its dominance in the trenches. Fisher offensively couldn't catch a break and I think got hosed on the pass interference call at the start of the game. A safety (or two) or Fisher's punter stepping out of bounds unseen could have greatly aided the Bombers charge. But, they couldn't land the knock out blow. The red zone stand by Fisher late in the half could very well have been the turning point of the game. The offense moved well and then kind of went into a rut and Juvan was missing open receivers.

Second half, Ithaca fills the box, Robinson gets a few good blocks and scampers for two quick scores to take control of the game. Whatver Coach Vosburgh said at the half worked because Fisher looked like a completely different team. They had good blocking, receivers started catching passes and the defense was all over the field. Ithaca in response kind of looked like a deer in the headlights. I haven't seen an Ithaca team dominated like that in a long time. Juvan showed his youth and had some time to throw the ball but couldn't find any receivers. Running game was stuffed and Ithaca didn't seem to go back to what worked well in the first, short passes over the middle to Heenehan and Oertel. The few swing passes that were thrown were sniffed out and Fisher backers made nice hits. Gene Lang was very impressive and was all over the field. I don't have the stats but I'd say I heard his name called at least ten times.

Great win for Fisher and a tough tough loss for Ithaca. I think Fisher will jump in the polls and hop over Ithaca. Their success down the road could be determined on the development of Rob Kramer. He showed good and bad flashes today. His receivers at points didn't help him out but he's still developing and can only get better. The schedule also favors the Cardinals with Springfield coming into town in October. Bombers don't have much time to think about this loss with the always tough and gritty Brockport Golden Eagles next week. It will be Brockport's first home game of the season after three straight on the road.

Great showing by the First Down Club today. I was extremely impressed with your enthusiasm and knowledge. What other fans are going to chant..."Where is Noah?" in regards to the now-departed All-American Noah Fehenbach. And you did it without swearing and being lewd. Keep up the good work guys. You certainly drew the ire of the Fisher parents. And yes they started copying your chants, but, remember that imitation of the sincerest form of flattery. The Fisher parents were more fired about than the students that I could hear.

Overall a fun experience. Great atmosphere today despite the rather unpredictable weather conditions.

EDIT: Forgot to mention. Someone must have been reading Post Patterns this week. Before the game, a majority of the music was off the most recent WWE CD. I thought Edge (not Jon Edgecomb) was going to run onto the field and spear someone. In-game music selection though, not that good :-)

Good comments, I was not at the game, but can tell you from past experiance Fisher students don't really give a rats a$$ about the sports teams except for a small crowd at basketball games and the entire school when it comes to Fisher-Naz or Fisher-UofR in football other than that, it's very hard to get students to comeout for a 1:00pm game

35-10???  I am not saying the port will win, but I'm almost certain that they will not give up 35 points.  They have allowed 20 points in 3 games so far this season, including the 17 in the Cortland loss.  My 2 cents.
