I think that there is money and they are just waiting for more money, but as in all games why do we want to give the visitors good seats we don't want them to even be there

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I guess my answer would be because dedicated away fans are still going to show up, and there should be some sense of comradarie in college sports.

Plus, having fans from opposite teams right next to each other is a potentially rough situation.

There are a three x port players all living up there, teaching....then two more of us down here in Miami-Dade

Awesome...I guess this proves what we already know, there are more job opportunities outside of NY!

Jeez, I didn't know Blumenauer broke his arm... where've I been? How did that happen?

You did okay Tecmo, you did okay. You too Mr. N. You guys making the trip back up to 585 next week?

Max we live in Rochester....Brockport is a pretty big game for us with family.....last time we visited though.....the result was a lot like today....

Here's hoping the guys blow off some steam and move on....work begins monday....Brockport is never  a "pushover"..

By the way Tecmo always does a great job...here and at the games....IC alums were out in force again....

I'll talk a little about Brockport since I wrote about them for the Kickoff Preview.

Typical Brockport team with the added presence of veteran receivers in the passing game. The offense line as usual is huge. Byers and company will have a long day banging up against those guys. Lynch is a stud in the backfield and he'll be running a lot. Traditionally, the Golden Eagles have had a back that'll take a run of carries and just run right at you and over you. Kind of the reverse of Robinson, who while great, is more of a finesse guy.

Receivers are experienced and good. Mahoney has tremendous speed and the corners will have to play their "A" game against him. A few years ago, I saw him make several big catches at home against Fisher in the "Hail Katherine" game. They also have a returning tight end that can make catches, Mike Bond. Similar to Oertel except he's featured a little bit more.

The defense has a lot of returning starters. They miss John Walther but results show that they've been able to make up for it. Secondary is younger and that might be the weak part of their defense. But, if Juvan is scrambling, he may not get a chance to exploit it.

Brockport's an extremely tough place to play. The fans are always fired up and the field is choppy at best. This will be the first home game of the season, so the grass may be in good shape. If this was later in the season, it could be a slopfest. The crown on the field takes getting used to as well.

If anything, it should be another great game in what's developed into a nice rivalry over the past eight or so years. It's hard to believe, but Brockport used to be a lot like Fisher until they turned the program around in the late 90s and have been good since. Little shaky the last few years but still dangerous.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Great job by the Ithaca and Fisher fans today to raise $836 for the injured Alfred player. I can't speak for the Fisher fans, but I saw most of the FDC and the Ithaca fans around me contributing money. While we may have our differences with one another and don't always agree, it's nice to see everyone coming together to aid a member of our upstate NY football family.

Yea the Brockport O-Line is huge......and that RB is tough......the albany conquest coach (which is an arena team ) was there........i do not have the slightest clue who he was watching......i was rooting for ithaca oday........wanted to see an undefeated cortaca......although if port beats ithaca it strengthens our schedule......

should be a great game..wish I could make it...alright fellas time to hit the town

yes 20 of those 836 dollars were courtesy of booby.  never want to hear of a player getting hurt when he is playing for the love of the game.

how about Fisher's defense though?  I said before they are pretty decent this year, only giving up an average of 5 points per game.  Outside of the first few series in the game when the D was giving up yards at will, they really clamped down and shut Ithaca out for 3 quarters.

I said before the game that this was the 2nd best D that Fisher has ever had.....I was wrong.  This is the best defensive team SJF has ever had!

IC FDCers, you guys are a class act, the exception being the one comment to #75- you guys are a credit to your team and school-great spirit- Tecmo, your pic and quote from blaise was priceless- good luck the rest of the year

First and foremost well-done Fisher!  I am new to this site but rest assured I was one of the plethera of yellow FDC shirts going nuts in the stands today.  Nothing can take this win away from Fisher.  Although some first-half calls probably should have gone the other way I think the game was fairly played and there really aren't any excuses.  We got pasted today.  I have to congratulate the Fisher O-line for an outstanding second half.  Without them the blitzkreig of touchdowns would have never started.  I think some of the key things that went wrong with Ithaca was a lack of concetration and Juvan's youth.  Penalties were called against IC for holding on almost every kick return of the second half, not to mention almost every-other snap while the IC offense was on the field.  Any kind of momentum we tried to build up was jsut simply squashed as Ic shot themselves in teh foot with penalties.  Also, Juvan showed us today that he is still a little wet behind the ears.  He missed some key plays, leaving open recievers, overthrowing tough coverage, and throwing into double/triple coverage.  Juvan had all teh time in teh world in teh pocket today...he just couldn't come up with anything.  I had a great time and I love IC football!  My only gripe on teh day is the lack of sportsmenship teh Fisher Moms & Dads showed today.  As an IC player hobbled off the field injured no one on teh Fisher side clapped and some even mimicked our "We Got aaaaa...." cheer.  That just isn't right.  But, again, congratulations Fisher on a well-deserved win.  Enjoy it, because if IC sees you in teh playoffs it's going to be a whole different monster...
