RUMOR:  Kramer is our QB Coach

Good, the longer he's away from the youth of America the better!

Hats off to AU Saxon football players Matt Eisenhauer, Vinson Hendrix, Chuck Lamb and Saucobie Riley for giving of their Spring Break to assist in building a home for a Deland, Florida family in need of decent affordable housing. They joined 27 other Alfred University students in building a house March 10-14 in the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge program. Pep is advisor of the AU chapter of Habitat for Humanity and accompanied the group of 31 students. No, Pep did not drive them there in the Pep Bandwagon, which, Pep is sad to report, may be on its last leg, now operating on less than its original six cylinders.  :-\

Any other Empire 8 football players out there who participated in Collegiate Challenge? Pep would like to hear about their experiences.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Well Pep,

In 1994, JU went to Panama City, Florida and helped out American wheat, barley, and hops farmers by consuming 2,234 cans of beer.  I figured that helped at least 3 farmers during that period of high wheat prices and low demand.

Jonny Utah

And props to Utica lacrosse for beating Naz this year. (dont know how that happened)

And IC with a big top 5 win over Cortland, leaving the bombers as maybe the #2 or #3 ranked team in the country now......

Pep,

NSRB has been up to the Carrier Dome for a couple of Syracuse's NIT games and had the privledge of having the Robert Morris Pep Band right in front of him on one evening.  Despite the rag-tag, blue jean and tie-die clad, scruffy lookin' crew, they put on a pretty good show.  What was interesting was their musical selection...  NSRB doesnt think they played a song dating later than 1968.  Maybe something to think about come next season... a throwback day featuring only classic tunes

Much to their chigrin, they were drown-out by the 20k SU fans.  Probably a similar scene when the Alfpepper Band comes to Butterfield.

Check out the leader of pack... the funky "valve-trombone" guy with the head-set!

On a side note, anybody else have suspicions that our very own commish Mr. Kazoo is involved in this Prostitution Ring as well.  I always wondered why when we were playing pickup basketball his friends kept referring to him as "client number 8".  Kind of a strange nickname...

As for these libelous allegations, I can neither confirm nor deny my involvement with numerous, upscale Manhattan escort services (please God, don't let them check my text messages...)

And finally, as Commissioner, I decree that Alfred shall be referred to as Petticoat Junction for the remainder of my term (Mayberry is starting to wear thin).
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

I would think the E8 should encourage the comish to use a prostitue...
