Pat--what the...........
Hey- take it easy-- it isnt even Summer yet and you are throwing barbs...sheesh

Me smells a little jealosy that Pat wishes that he could tailgate with fa91!

Maybe I read it wrong FA91 but I think Pat was saying those who read "Around the Region" for the East will rejoice since he has time off and can write the articles.  I don't know maybe I am wrong but that's what I got out of it.

Actually, I was referring to the fact that he could attend the occasional game instead of having to work Saturday, which would make the column better.

Hey! My columns are good... Oh wait, yeah, I guess you're right.  ::)

But seriously, it will be better to get out and be able to talk to coaches and players and watching some high-quality D-III football this fall.

DC...who are some of the local guys coming into UC this year?  Any word on the overall numbers for Faggiano?

Leodis McKelvin and James Hardy, what does everyone think...

I also think the chiefs had an awesome draft day...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Starters from day 1...

James Hardy will catch at least 8 TD's just on jump balls alone...

Some good video from Channel 2 in Utica about spring practice starting up. A little old, but a nice piece on the new era of UC football. Also, on ucpioneers.com, they said that about 140 students did recruiting visits this winter. So that's a good start, definitely.

The offense is F'ing horrendous right now... they need to get their crap together. Although I do think Tampa is going to be a lot better this year than in the past.

By the way, I meant to post this a while ago, but it appears that the Bombers are in the market for a secondary coach.

Pep is now recuperated from the Hot Dog Day festivities. Just an absolutely great weekend in Alfred, starting with the Pine Hill Derby on Friday evening, the 5K Fun Bun Walk & Run at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by the parade, street fair, carnival, Hot Dog Launch Competition and the Mud Olympics!

Pep ran the 5k and did much better than last year, placing 13th among the 81 runners/walkers participating, with a time of 23:49. And Pep was a member of one of THREE AU Habitat Mud Olympics teams, which won its volleyball game and tug-o-war match before the thunderstorm came and rained out the dodgeball competition.

All in all, it was a great weekend. And the booze started overflowing the banks of the roaring Kanakadea Creek Friday afternoon and didn't stop until well into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Not to ask the obvious question but, how exactly do mud olympics get rained out?

AUPepBand

Jose: Brilliant question +K!

Pep was wondering at the time why the games couldn't continue....but at that point the cold rains dampened the contestants' spirits, not to mention the safety issue with the thunder and lightning.

Pep is sorry to hear of the death of a 19-year-old Ithaca College freshman from Minnesota. Always difficult for a college campus to deal with losing one of its own...AU certainly has had its share of losses over the years.

hey guys.  its been awhile.  im really looking forward to the upcoming D3 season.  I think Fisher has some work to do and Ithaca is definately the pre season favorites I would have to think.

Has anybody heard anything about Fortune?  With his size and agility, I thought he would atleast get a shot.  Several D3 guys are going to minicamps and I figured he would be one of them.
