Pep is waiting now for Sarge to report that AU has six transfers coming in from Penn State.

-Behrend :)

haha nice, had no idea what that meant but with a little googling action i get you.

That's cool if Hartwick is getting a former D1 player, it will add some firepower to that already high powered offense.

some more recruiting news around the E8:

Taken from the Buffalo News:

Paul Eaton (DE) St. Francis -- Alfred University (III) (also lacrosse)

Steve Miller (LB/FB) St. Francis -- Alfred University (III)

Cory Hymes (C) St. Francis -- Cortland State (III)

Andrew Rogowski (K) Canisius -- Ithaca (III)

Ryan Hawkins (RB) North Tonawanda -- St. John Fisher (III)

Tim Tebow has transferred to Brockport stating that he has done it all at the D1 level.   :D

Na, the real deal....from Happy Valley, PA to Happy Valley, NY.
When Sarge exaggerates, he goes all out.

Max Meisel is the WR/KR transferring from Cuse to Hartwick.

boobyhasgameyo

hmm says in his profile that he was a senior at SU, I assume he just didn't play one of the years so he has eligibility, but did he graduate from Syracuse and is just going to Hartwick for an advanced degree?  What's the deal?

Coach Vos, along with another assistant, can be spotted on the sidelines during Buffalo Bills OTA's taking in coaching tips.

Look for the short guy with the cardinals gear!

Love the Maddon picture Jose.  How 'bout them Rays!  We need to put the dagger in Texas today.  Hopefully Garza keeps the BB's under control today.

Interesting to note in that Transfer list posted a page back that players seem to be bailing out of St Francis.  Something going on with their program, like a coaching change?

Looking at that schedule I can envision Ithaca going undefeated, they didn't lose too many players from a good team last year while teams like Alfred and Fisher just feel like they won't have their finest seasons to date.  Springfield is hard to measure because they will be bad one year and an unstoppable rebel force the next.  Can't wait until September 27th though, should be one fun game.

That's a list of recruits, not transfers. It's Pep's guess that St. Francis is a parochial school in the Buffalo area that has some decent football players among its seniors.

P.S. Upon further investigation, St. Francis High School is an all-boys school of 579 students in grades 9-12. And, among a long list of "assistant football coaches" is one Nick Suchyna, along with a few other Suchynas. And, upon further investigation, Pep learned that the former Fisher quarterback that succumbed to career-rattling uncontested blitzes from a beastly Brenton Brady in an NCAA playoff-depriving 13-7 loss to Alfred in mid-November 2005 indeed was a St. Francis grad.

If I were St. Francis' rival, I think I would hire Bill Struzzi as my secondary coach...

Jose: Summer, per the calendar, hasn't yet begun... +K on the Struzzi reference...now where's the video clip of that game-winning pick?
