SaxonDeuce: Welcome aboard! All is well in Saxonville...the usual summer construction projects but a bit too quiet at the library. Pep appreciates your appearance on these pages as you bring a fresh insight to the boards from a player's perspective. Pep's observations are strictly from the stands or what he might hear among sources.

As for the Saxons in 2008, Pep is cautiously optimistic as a lot will be determined by who fills your shoes. What size do you wear? Pep has stated, however, that from his observation, AU will be okay at QB so long as Puccio is on staff working with that position.

Pep...shoe size is 15...I am sure the saxons will be in good hands...Pucco is an excellent coach and even more entertaining person to be around....he has some stories from college...unreal...now he lives vicariously through the players he coaches....now I can finally sit down and enjoy a beer with him without compromising his position as a coach....just about a week until they report to camp

Kolmer and the crew says Hi!

In other news Upstate top places to play in the E8:

1) Growney
2) Butterball
3) Merrill
4) Norwich
5) Utica
6) Wick

Springfield was added to the E8 the year after Upstate graduated so I have no info there...

Claire is that you?.... I though it was... I see that you have worked some saturdays this year...I really missed the churchville diner and all the "lively" conversation that Palermo used to start, and most of all the Redman.....Good to know that you are on this message board

I'm sorry if this is obvious and I've done absolutely no research so back off me...But does Pep saying the success of Alfred largely depending on who fills your shoes mean you are the former QB Keeley? Or some other vital starter they lost?

boobyhasgameyo

Upon just looking at the email address I am going to go ahead and say it is Mr. Keeley.  Well if anybody takes the Batemen avatar, I suppose you are worthy of it...

SJFF82

Ooh baby....gotta get after that AU QB.  Let's not let him get comfortable in the pocket (or at the keyboard)...flush him out (expose him) and get him on the run (negative k)

Yes I am he...  Bateman is one of the best characters ever in a movie....didn't know if many people have ever seen American Psycho...thought I should share it with all of you.

gotta get after that "former AU QB"...  I am very comfortable in the pocket of the E8 message board...just don't have Dan Pollock post on this forum, he might force me to make a bad decision.

Pep must say that size 15 shoes seem a bit too large to fill, but someone will step into them and give it a shot. And, true to form, Deuce, you have very nicely sidestepped the rush, avoided the sack, and found the open man....even on the E8PP boards.

Have you still got your trumpet? Pep will have a band shirt for you whenever you'd like to make a guest appearance with the "award-winning" AU Pep Band.

No Trumpet, Pep....sold it in the 10th grade...could have been a costly mistake had I known the potential of playing in the AU Pep Band....Ill be doing my cheering on the sidelines most likely...that is if Coach Murr will allow my presence on the sidelines.

+k pep.
the only gripe that i have about growney is the bathroom issue.
Hopefully they get that done soon!

...and provide adequate seating for guests at Growney! At present, luxury boxes are under construction on the visitors' side at Merrill Field. AU officials hope to have said luxury boxes completed in time for the regular season finale with St. John Fisher to shame the Pittsford college into providing elevated seating for its guests at Growney.

Truth be told, there is construction activity around Merrill Field as the second phase of the Miller Performing Arts Center, a 500-seat proscenium theater, is underway on the hillside behind the visitors' bleachers. Pep hopes the addition is well anchored else it slides down the hill onto Merrill.

Pep posts yet again on an E8 stadium pet peeve...

Yes Deuce its me...

During the AU/SJF game I was on the Alumni Terrace with a bunch of other KS guys and I was dogging you after some AU fans told Kramer to go eat another cheeseburger (I did have to hold back my laughter though) and I kept on getting these odd looks from a couple standing next to Kolmer.  Finially I think Harrington said it was your parents, needless to say I felt bad, only for a second though...

Also duing the game the SJF offense was driving towards the same endzone and I was watching the plays getting called in and then relaying them to Palermo who then in turn yelled them out to AU's Defense.  Finially they started listening to us and caught up on 2 plays.  Then inside the 10/15yard line i knowingly called a outside zone to their left side, only to have it be the bootleg pass to the right with Marion for the TD....

Good times, good times...

B) Max, you are the second coming of PG. We are typically on the opposite sides of things but somehow I still like you.

Carry on...

RPI vs. Ithaca 2003 East Region Final

PEGGY: Now Shirley, let me get this straight. Ithaca wins, and you have to wear a "Ithaca is Gangsta" T-shirt to your commencement.  RPI wins, and I have to wear a "Sex Kills, Come to Rensselaer and live forever" T-shirt to my commencement? Are you sure you want to go through with this?

SHIRLEY: WOOO!! GO RED!! YEAH THATS THE BET P-DIDDY, I WAS LIKE 8 BEERS DEEP WHEN WE MADE IT BUT WHO CARES, WE'RE CREAMING YOUR PRECIOUS BOMBERS OUT THERE!! WOOOO!!

PEGGY: Well, there's still plenty of game left to play and if I know my team then they'll...

SHIRLEY: THEY'LL WHAT? BEAT RPI? HELLL NAW. NOT ON '86, NOT TWICE. I'M STILL STEAMING OVER THAT LOSS. I NEED TO CALM DOWN

<pulls out a joint, lights up>

SHIRLEY: <takes a huge drag, slowly exhales> HIT THIS, CHIEF.

PEGGY: Shirley!! How can you do that in front of the students??

SHIRLEY: PSSSSSH, WHERE DO YOU THINK I GOT THIS FROM? WELL, TECHNICALLY MY CONNECTION WAS JUST ANOTHER TROYLET, BUT HIS STUFF IS SO GOOD I GAVE HIM A DEGREE IN BIOCHEMESTRY.

PEGGY: Well I would hate to be a rude guest... <partakes>

30min later

PEGGY: I AM SO F'ING HUNGRY RIGHT NOW... I'M LIKE... I'M LIKE STARVIN, MAN.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Pauly,

Welcome aboard!  It's nice to have not only another Empire 8er on this board but also a former LCAA boy around as well!!!!  How have things been?  It looks like I'll be back in NY just in time for the Cardinals to make the trip up to Norwich but I'll be right down the road from Alfred in good ole' Bath NY.  I'll have to scratch my D-III football itch somehow.  Maybe I'll make a trip to Merill.

Love to see all this chatter on the boards.  It's a good thing to come home from after a long day on the road travelling to Reno and back.  Tags, any word on what Big Ed's up to w/out me to watch after him?  You playing in the Elks tourny this year?

On a last note I recieved a birthday wish from the one and only Frank Rossi the other day and I'm glad to report he's still alive even though I haven't seen him on the boards in ages.  Supposedly he's in the process of moving.  Superman I know you'll be awaiting the return of your idol ;)
