fisheralum91

HHawks---you have 2 players that have a lot of talent.
best is irrelevant---do they fit your system?
do they produce on field?
worry about that

ok - please don't take offense to the beating you are about to take on here.....

You need to get out there and read more about the rest of the country.  The D3FB all american team doesn't have him first or second.  So the very least he could be considered is 3rd best (and he's not that).  How many teams (QBs) have you seen play?

This really isn't a shot at Boltus...he's a great QB.  Be careful throwing BEST in all d3 around.

OK, fair enough, well he's definately the best in the east. Agree?

I don't know.  One of the best in the East?  sure.

I don't think he was the best in the East last season and since no games have been played and we have no idea the situations at Alfred and SJF and how much Juvan's improvement will continue this season.  I'd say we have a lot of games to play.

My main concern right now is that IC will make your handle obsolete for 2009.

OK - a couple points in addition to what was said already.

1)  Best QB in D3?  Come on.  first of all, theres a guy on the front page wearing purple and white that you should read about.  Also - (and I think he's a phenomenal QB) but I don't think Boltus starts for IC, Fisher or Alfred last year.  Regardless of the outcome of a couple of those games.

I know all about Greg Micheli, and i would pick boltus over him. My reasoning is that at mount union they have alot more talent there to work with than hartwick does. Give boltus a Pierre garcon type reciever, a dominating running back, and a dominating defense, and watch what he does. Im not even gonna comment on that he wouldnt have started on Ithaca, fisher, or alfred last year, that would be too easy.  Im my opinion Paul Keely (Alfred) + Chris Sharpe (Springfield) = Jason Boltus!

Haaaaaaaaa!
Oh man --thanks for the laugh.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh- that was good.
Are you related to this boltus kid?
this is too rich.

talk about a man crush!

lol, nah nothin like that, i meant take the running skills of chris sharpe and combine it with the passing skills of paul keely and thats what you get. Im not saying he's better than both of them together anything like that, there all different kind of quarter backs.

fisheralum91

Agreed.
hey- it is a few weeks before the season and im sure that many of us are getting a little antsy to get the thing started.

that said--any word from fisher camp?

AUPepBand

Pep heard that the Bills are in camp at Fisher...when does the college team take over the facilities?
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

fisheralum91

dont they go over to east roch hs to have camp?
they should be back at fisher around the 21st or so---depending when the bills clear out

PBR...

question for me is what do u consider the east? pennsylvania's wash & jeff qb is 2nd team all american.  And  Albright College qb imho wouldnt be ranked too far behind the 2 preseason AA's from mount union and wash & jeff...note i am not saying boltus is not a good qb but just curious where your drawing your boundary lines

D3football.com lists these teams as east and this is where i made my assumption from. They had him 1st team all east qb. http://www.d3football.com/regions.php?region=east

PBR...

figured thats where you were drawing the lines from just wasnt sure....be interesting to list everyones top 5 qb's in the east and the results. and more interesting to see how the guru(s) (pat, gordon, etc) ranked them usually they are totally open to where their votes fell

fisheralum91

sheesh- can we at least get the season started before we rank qbs?
hell- i dont even know who fishers qb is yet!! ;D

So Max's dad is a former geriatrician that now works as a consultant to improve the quality of life in nursing homes for both residents and staff, making them more "home" and less "hospital", etc. etc. He sent me along this article, written by an author with a great name, as we all know:

Now, I know it's probably not our friend that wrote this article, but if it is, I'm glad he's no longer getting "exited" about the fateful "Saterday" and is now doing good things with his life.
