Okay, since there's been no action on this board all day long, the Pep Bandwagon currently has 299,689 miles and still running....

I can update you on the softball happenings here Pep, since it's been slow and this turned into a softball board a couple days ago.

Pep's pleasure! Best of luck with your column...and feel free to ask, just as you did, when you lack info. There are plenty of posters happy to assist by feeding you material.

Pep caught some of the freshmen practice at AU late yesterday afternoon. Looked like a nice mix....some big dudes, some little squirts. Guess that's what's nice about football...the diversity of positions leaves the door wide open for all sizes (and shapes).

Pep hopes to catch some of the varsity practice later this afternoon to get a peek at those competing for the QB position, and see if there are any new kids on the block who may be ready to step into a starting slot.

Dubbz has returned safe and sound from his office retreat of Casino gambling and white water rafting.

the casino was fun. Won $140 at Roullette.  Nothing compared to my co-worker hitting 4 of a kind on "Let-It-Ride"   The pay out was 50-1 on $30.  Lucky bastard!!

Then came water rafting.  Co-workers in string bikinis and other rafters who joined the party from else where wearing the same apparel.  The guides were stupid enough to put buckets in our rafts to help throw the water out of the boat after going through the whites.   however, these were used for weapons of mass water destruction.  My co-worker sacraficed himself for the team at one point, as he jumped from our boat to the enemies wiping out three of them with one body blow.  priceless.

hey white water rafting!

A moment of silence in honor of the brave lad who took one for the team & abandoned ship...

White water rafting is awesome if you get the real deal, not meandering down the river hitting sweet 1-2's. What were the levels you were navigating? I'm assuming 1's & 2's due to the whole "office outing" thing. Thankfully the bikini's were out to compensate.

Dubbz & Co. pull up along the shore for a quick office photo op:

Up & at 'em today FA. I'm typically bumping around the boards in the mornings, but then work decides to take over my life about 8:01 am.

How goes it?

Robby, Big Ed update in case you're poking around at 6:30am out there... which would not be advisable, but hey.

Haven't seen him in a long time, probably last time was a few weekends ago posted up at the Elks with Switch.

I'm heading back this evening, hopefully he is there - I'll catch up with him.

Hope you are doing well, I'll be in touch. I'm going to be heading out your way sometime next year to visit my brother in Fair Oaks -- we'll get together.

I saw where UC has a roster of 150+ kids.  I'd like to challenge an incoming freshman to make it through 4 years without ever participating in a drill or having his name called.  I gotta believe with that many kids it would be pretty easy to look occupied without ever really doing anything.  Worked for me in the military back in the day.  Could be a good book in it.
