Yeah, I saw that.... that's not the kind of stuff I want to see when I go to espn.com, that's for sure.

I played 3 sports at Wilson for 4 years (graduated in 97) and never once had anything like this happen on the Football/Basketball/Track teams...

What an incredibly sad story.  Upstate, you know any of these people?  What do you think happened?

I do not know any of the families involved but have 6 younger cousins that are still going to school in the district. The coaches knew something was going on telling a JV player to sit down and take it, but im pretty sure he didnt know the extent of it.

The head coach has always been brash and let his players get away with anything that happened so he's getting whats coming to him, IMO.

Its a pretty screwed up situation and I feel bad for the three families...

We had Jav but no hammer in NJ.  Tried the hammer a couple of times in the Navy, it was fun to throw.

Yo!  Screw the Olympics (The Greatest Show on Earth!)...give me my Bomber football.

Despite the fact that I am not exactly welcome in Cuba *ahem* the Soviet Union *ahem* China *ahem* New York State anymore, and am working sixty-plus-hour weeks between several jobs (often in my FDC shirt, mind you... I'm drinking the "most-weathered shirt" beer this year), I'll be damned if I'm not making it home for Homecoming and Cortaca this year.  Hope everyone's been staying out of trouble, and I'll be seeing you all soon (but not nearly soon enough).

Also, check the new sig.

First off the bus driver and both coaches need to be fired on the spot... it's there job to make sure that the kids are safe... secondly, I am not against a little good natured hazing... but there is a line of hazing and rape... and Upstate, I am sorry for your family, because that is disgusting and I am sorry that anyone would have to live in a town, where people would condone this...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Well it sounds like no one in the front of the bus would know the extent of what was going on.  Its pretty ****ed up to say the least....

Thankfully it didnt happen to any member of my family, i do have cousins that are still in the school district and they thankfully play LAX and Track instead of baseball...

A) the coaches should realize these are teenage boys, they are idiots, to begin with...
B) the bus driver typically has a mirror so he can see the majority of what is going on in the back of the bus...

You may be right Supe, but Ive been on these buses before.  Should the coaches have known a rape was going on instead of some fun/teasing/games?

Im just saying its an ugly situation all around.  But clearly these kids were a rotten bunch.....

superman57

senior year on the soccer bus, I was working on some econ homework with my friends, and idodic JV player preceded to jump in and grab the paper to see what we were working on and tore it... needless to say, those freshman never ran as much as they did when they got off the bus, the coach made them stay and they ran about 6 miles... And this is because the coaches were keeping an eye on what was going on and had taught us to act like a champion and behave like one too...
