That's kinda how it goes, yeah. People who buy Kickoff are gently discouraged from passing the info on for free.

You've got at least one more sale coming Pat.  My heads been spinning between my job, the photography business, and getting my football website rolling again.  Actually I'm depending on Kickoff to catch me up.  I'm really blind going into 2008.
Justin Bieber created 666 false D3 identities to give me negative karma.

Hmmm.
Well my e-mail does end in edu....
Woud that count for the 40% reduction?

Hey----thats why im in Higher ed boys---im no dummy!

FA91... gotta get Kickoff. The magazine is awesome this year and Andrew did a good job on the E8 caps... even though, selfishly, I think he's got Fisher too high and Utica too low..  :D

HScoach

For those E-8 folks willing to cross conference boundaries to have a little fun, the spreads for week 1 of the OAC Pick-Em's has been posted.  Feel free to join the fray.

Love the sign DP.

Make it to any games yet?  Rug and Garza put together a gem last night.

Is the Mount Union Fisher Game in Rochester or Ohio?  ???The posted schedules on team websites as well as DIII say its in ohio. I am puzzled I thought they were playing here in Rochester. Atleast thats what I think I was reading here on the boards. Living in Rochester..I would like to see that game. Please help with my confusion on this matter.

fisheralum91

Hey 84 the first game will be played in Alliance Ohio.  Next year is Roch!

superman57

Alright Superman feels that Mount will win this game... But that 29.5 spread is utterly redicoulus... Maybe you all are forgetting that this isn't mount's normal opener...this is going to be an interesting game, and will be closer than everyone thinks, because Mount is replacing just about everybody... I say Mount wins by 13

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

realistic

thats really not that crazy.  I know I am going to draw the ire of all of the SJF folks....but MUC's closest game (other than the loss) last season was a 24-point win against Ithaca.  It's the first game of the season, at home with the best QB and best RB in the country returning.

Also -  it's just a spread done by a MUC guy with the goal to get OAC people to pick both sides of it.  I'd say you're taking too mcuh out of it.  Just take the under and see if he'll take a bet with you.

jaypeter

If the point of a spread is to get folks to pick evenly on either side, then I think it's probably pretty close.  We all know that it's not MUC's normal opener, and many of us MUC fans are thrilled that SJF is willing to play.  Much better than Averrett.

As a way to defend hscoach and his lines, though, there were no less than 4 games last year where his spread was .5 higher or lower than the final outcome.  And the poor guy was on the losing end each time!  I, too, think it's a bit high, but there's a reason he's setting the picks and not me.

I picked SJF.  Not to win, but to cover.  Then again, I chose Whitewater not to win, but to cover in the Stagg last year.  Maybe there's hope for the Cards yet!

theoriginalupstate

I'd take the spread...

MUC 37-21

Jaypeter,

If Kehres screws me by 0.5 points over and over again this year, I'm taking him off my Christmas card list!
