hscoach did pretty well on that 29.5 pt. spread.

Fisher with the ball on MUC's 15 yd line after a fumble recovery and facemask penalty on MUC with 6 seconds left.

A toss into the endzone is incomplete to end the game 33-3.

Kmic with 154 at the half --

Fisher fyi, he runs the ball often.

Yeah the 11th all time rusher kinda does...

then ya kinda stack the box...

Their base D is a 4-4, there is 8 in the box, not sure how many more you can fit in the box...

On the bright side at least SJF isnt struggling (joe namath drunken impresonation) with Lyco...

a base 4-4 isnt stacking the box...

how we all doin... is IC final?

If 8 men inside the "box" isnt stacking i dont know what is...
you said a base 4 -4 ... thats not stacking the box

Just back from Merrill.  I haven't read any posts, so if I'm repeating this my apologies.  34-27 Ursinis.  Congrats UC, they deserved to win the game.  Hendrix did not play (unknown injury) and the Saxons committed 7 turnovers, 2 of which were returned for TDs.  I'm not even upset, just a little disappointed.  But, when the O-line gets together as a unit and in synch with Secky they should be very good.  Even with all the turnovers (or maybe because of them) Secky broke the Alfred passing record for a single game.  I'm looking forward to the next 4 years with him in the backfield!
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

not so rowdy bomber

YEASH!

ROWDY takes OOOOOOOooooonnnnneeeee game off... what the hell happens?!!!!

somebody out there better tell him what happened and get going on the recruiting process for FDC... reports early on suggest it was a pretty empty stadium with weak cheering...

good to see the Bombers come together in the end.  Yankee stadium was quite impressive i might add.  the wedding went off in Monument Park and ended just before the monsoons hit.  Even as a Mets fan... NSRB was humbled.

Go Bombers-

fisheralum91

The Bombers look terrible. No pass rush. Juvan looked shaky and no-one reall goy open. The running game looks ok, although they didn't get many big plays.

Ithaca was handed their first TD after a roughing the kicker penalty and then Lycoming took a terrible personal foul after the Bombers scored to go up 17-16. Ithaca kicked off from the 40, Lycoming fumbled the kick and only got it out to the four. After that, they could never dig their way out.

Right now, with Crandall out, that offense is going to look shaky. They really only looked good on their final drive. They have to step it up or it will be a long season. If Lycoming was disciplined, they'd have won that game.

To be honest, I thought the Bombers were overrated coming into the season. Too much talk about how well they looked up in Alliance last season and not enough "Hey, do you think the offense will be affected by losing two of the best running backs in the last 20 years?"

Cant really complain about the effort today...

Bailey had decent yardage but he's got to limit the TO's, the first one wasnt his fault (totally) but the 2nd one should of been avoided...

Needed to see more out of the running game, hopefully they'll get the run game going next week...

Cant complain about the defensive effort, they didnt beat themselves today and kept it close for the first half...

I still say 9-1 on the year!!

Lets hope it was just first game jitters, and maybe a little bit of overconfidence on the part of the bombers in the first game.

Losing those running backs from last year will be a loss, but it not about losing them, it should be about who is going to step up?

Good deal.  Just glad to hear they got the W.  I would have hated to start the year off on a sour note.

I hate to be so blunt, but it's not about stepping up. It's about talent. Baez and Donovan were, simply put, excellent backs.  You can't really expect someone to step up and have that production, so it's inevitable that the offense will take a big step back. No-one seemed willing to believe that. It's not so much that the running game will be bad, just not one that can take pressure off of Juvan by making defenses commit to them. There's just not the same amount of talent on the offensive side of the ball as there was before.

what cupcake did they play?
