I wonder if Wesley and Hartwick have had discussions about a game in two weeks? I did notice that Hartwick has it's schedule set so they have two weeks to prepare for both Ithaca and SJF. It certainly would be a good regional crossover game for both schools. Especially since 3 of the pollsters form The 3D kickoff think Wesley will win the East regional this year.

The Philly Daily news says that after( hurts for me even to type it) Penn St. / S.U. game that Robinson will finally unnerve the alumni enough to ask for his head. Even the players he has recruited are transferring out

Good, he's needs to be held accountable.  Especially after having the nerve to blame the whole situation on the fact that he didnt know the state of the program when he first started...

You would think that by now he would have recruited players for his offense and I don't see where he has done that at all.

Hopefully Fisher can pull some things together this week against a much less talented team.

Does anybody have any information on Buff State? I would like to think Fisher has enough to pull away early on. Hopefully they can iron out some more wrinkles before the U of R and IC game. Can they roll off 9 in a row? I don't know. It is tough to think they will, since they have never run the table in the league before. However, I think they have the talent to.

I have heard in the past that a loss to Mt Union will not always be that crushing of a loss, but I would not want to test that theory with another loss to IC or Salisbury.

This was supposed to be the year the whole team was the players he wanted, but the offense looks worse now than it has in the last two years. The team is just not that good. I really hate to think about what the Penn State games turns out to be.

Unless they can get someone to convince players come there and get the help of some famous alumni they are in deep trouble.

Cuse's AD (Gross) beefed this pick big time, he shouldnt of relied on Pete Carroll for advise.  Any schmoe could have done the same job that Robinson did.  I would really like to see Gross get a guy like Turner Gill and pay through the nose to get him.  Turner Gill has turned UB into a possible Bowl team, i know it sounds crazy.  But he has some great talent on that team, I can only imagine what kind of talent he could get with the resources and history that syracuse offers.

It would be interesting to see how many in state players, that don't go to another state and are recruited by S.U., who go to SJF or Ithaca or any other smaller school in the state.

will they win a game--yeah-- blaise is a good coach and will get a few.
he does have his hands full though.

Agreed.  Blaise is a good coach, he just needs some time to get his kids and his system in place.

As for the E8 this week...it isn't all bad news...especially for week 1.  'Wick avenged a terrible loss last year, and from what I can tell with no injuries.  Ithaca has some injuries and found a way to win.  SJF played the best team in the country...first game jitters, some new players...I give them all the credit in the world.  They are trying to reamain/become a consistent top 5 team in the country year in and year out...a 33-3 loss to a team with about 8 losses in the last decade is not going to damage them in the long run.  Springfield and Norwich won.  Alfred...close, tough loss against a good non-conference opponent (7-3 and 8-3 last two years), with 8 turnovers and without their All-American RB.  Utica...tough loss, but I think they could surprise a lot of teams this year if overlooked.

I think there is a lot to look forward too this year.

IC vs Kings this week seems like an interesting match up.  I think Kings made a statement by pasting Randolph Macon last week 34-13.  RM won 8 games in 2007 and had a bunch of starters returning from that squad.  I think this may be a very tight game much like IC vs Lyco last week.

Injury news out of SJF, Tyler Wood their starting DT, recorded 2 sacks and 4 tackles vs MUC but was lost for the rest of the year with a knee injury.

I think it could be an interesting match up.  Kings is a tough team to read year in and year out.  I don't know if I would hit the panic button yet with IC...but I will say that I am glad that 'Wick has two weeks to prepare for them.
