It would be interesting to see how many in state players, that don't go to another state and are recruited by S.U., who go to SJF or Ithaca or any other smaller school in the state.

Syracuse is simply awful...and it is a crying shame to see a respectable program fall so hard so fast.  I cannot believe Gross hasn't been fired yet.  It doesn't do a lick of good keeping him around.  I may be biased, but it speaks volumes when the best QB in the state of NY playing college football on Saturday plays in Oneonta...and grew up in the Syracuse area.  I would love for some Syracuse fan to tell me they wouldn't take Boltus over Andrew Robinson...

Generally speaking though, there probably aren't too many players today that choose SJF and Ithaca over S.U.  There may be some interest from D1 schools, but from what I usually see, if they can go D1, players usually do.  Does anyone else know of players that had legitimate offers...not just interest...and turned it down to play at a DIII school in NY?  I am sure there are cases...though rare.

Injury news out of SJF, Tyler Wood their starting DT, recorded 2 sacks and 4 tackles vs MUC but was lost for the rest of the year with a knee injury.

Tough break...is this kid a senior?

Makes sense.  Clear D1 size...probably lack of speed at the next level that hurt him from other offers.  It never ceases to amaze me of the number of nimrods that think their kid is the next D1 athlete because he rushed for 1,000 yards in some backwood HS league.  I have seen some D3 athletes that have been nothing short of amazing, but were at the right level.

I think if Boltus were playing in place of Andrew Robinson and facing divison 1 defenses he wouldn't fare nearly as well.  This is the same guy who threw 5 interceptions against Curry last year.......Curry.  Drew Willy is also another quarterback I'd take over Boltus.   But with that said, I wouldn't mind some Boltus action playing for the Cards this year.

That may be the case...but I am not the only one that thinks Boltus is big time.  The same service...nflscout.com...that has Willy ranked the #18 overall QB in the country has Boltus #22.  Pretty good for NY in general.  Both, in my opinion are far superior to Andrew Robinson.  Either way, both of these guys are going to get a shot at the next level...whether for its only for 5 minutes or longer.  Most of us would kill for that shot.  Willy is pretty damn good though.  After watching about 3 plays against Pitt this weekend I realized that UB would destroy SU this year.

Yanks thinks that if the Bills didn't come to Rochester, that SJFC would be stuck as a doormat like they were throughout most of the 90's...but the Bills did come...so all of this is irrelevent.

hold that "good night" thought.  Dont start this crazy talk again...do I have to remind everyone for the 20th time that SJF was not a doormat in the early-mid 90's...ahhh nevermind, I hate repeating myself.  Besides, you were just kiddin right, my team from 92-95 swept Hartwick 4-0.  >:(
