i have NEVER seen a one man team

The King and his Court was basically a one man team.  If you didn't see them you really missed out.

He gave real meaning to the nickname "Fast Eddie." I remember seeing him in Hornell or Wellsville as a kid.

+k to you PepBand for knowing the King.  I thought that joke may cruise over all heads in the room.  My dad took me to see him when I was little.  The guy must have been 60 and he was just mowing down big leaguers.

Thanks for the +k....and +k for laughing at my "Maroney kid singlehandedly shutting down the Springfield passing attack"

is mark r the ONE MAN?

last i checked the whole team has been applauded for their "team" efforts....

esp by mr r.....

Hard to believe there's some disgruntled Fisher folk when the Fish is 4-0.

Maybe all is not happy and healthy in Fishy land.  I went to law school because I sucked at math but, I wonder if 2 good backs/ 1 football = discord in Fish land???

In other news, Mark Robinson is a lot better at football than James Reile. Fisher is not a one man team though. Maybe a one man offense....

I'll write the letter for us to the Ithacan.  Will stress our efforts to keep things positive.

It's bizarre when the Ithaca fans start going on about how awesome Mark Robinson is, we face opposition from Fisher folk.

realistic

I know it was brought up earlier...but the Ithacan article was interesting to me.
http://www.ithaca.edu/ithacan/articles/0609/28/sports/0tailback_.htm

I hate criticizing these kids who are learning to write, broadcast, etc (I've been there)...but while it is a really nice article and both backs are great....why do they always have to bring up the "Arguably the best ever" line.  Best this author has seen?  Maybe.  Best ever, probably not.  Someone listed off a few from years past earlier and I agree with those and would add Carpenter....also as staed, Johnny Utah can shed some light as well.  While I have only seen old video, I think many would argue that Jeff Whittman was the best ever.

Anyway - my point is, I hate that writers have to use phases like that just to make an article more interesting.  It was a good article about 2 good kids and football players without it.  Besides, he miss quoted Anchorman too.

You don't face opposition from all of us, personally I think the respect shown is pretty sweet.  I just think those who are talking back see it as you fans saying we are only a good team because of one player and once he leaves we will be garbage (yeah somebody definitely said something around those lines) plus reile is pretty decent in his own right so maybe they feel it's disrepsectful to his efforts.  Of course I could be completely completely wrong lol

I love the major activity on this board.  It's fun coming back to a good twenty new messages every couple hours.

good thing your taking control Tecmo... I dont think my rant in the Ithacan would be as professional as yours....... But, when the President of the institution puts a FDC T-shirt on and walks around homecoming with a proud look upon her face... we win!

Oh speaking of Pres. Williams.  Tecmo and I spoke with her after the Fish game... surprisingly she attends most away contests... she was very knowledgable about what just happened.  Had some good points about the 4th downs in the first half and defensive strategies...I was impressed...  GO PEGGY!!

Dubbz, love the annexation of puerto rico.  Can't beat a little Giants referrence.  Maybe we can suit Peggy up and she can be out ice box
