I wish some of these messages between Pat and '82 were sent privately so the rest of the board doesn't have to pick through 25 posts of bickering about this to find one comment about football.

Regarding the Fisher poll thing, yeah I can see how a SJF fan could be upset about it. I tend to not look at rankings since it just skews perceptions. Didn't we see a team once ranked #13 miss the playoffs?

I'm also curious...how many games do poll voters see every week? I mean, it's got to kind of be a guessing game no? With 239 teams to keep an eye on, and no national coverage, how can you do it? I've always felt we should give these guys a little slack to hedge their bets because really, what's the difference between being 18th and 14th? Or 23rd or unranked?

I have said this before but I'll say it again here. The message board is a losing proposition for us, moneywise. Ads here don't generate clicks because people want to read the board, not leave it. And advertisers across the Internet are unwilling to pay much for forum traffic on that basis.

So snippy crap about what our advertisers think about decisions I make on the message board are a waste of space. It means nothing.

Like "our advertisers" care? Nobody is advertising specifically on the message board. It's all leftover advertising that runs on thousands of sites that Google services. And it's literally pennies for every thousand page views. The rest of the site(s) is what carries us.

On to football...just back from the SJF-UR Courage Bowl luncheon.  Scott Greene made a bold prediction about Saterday's contest.  Seemed like him and his team felt a bit undermined by the whole luncheon and SJF's prominence on the field and in the headlines the past few years.

It is going to be interesting on Saterday...

Elaborate a bit more please, i would love to hear what he thinks of SJF and his chances this weekend after getting his head kicked in the week before...

It is unfortunate that you took my advertising comment so seriously

what do the E8 matchups look like this week.

The undercard for the E8 match-ups includes SJFF82 v. Pat "the Guru" Coleman.  Right now it looks like PC is a 9.5pt favorite and the over-under is -15 (for 82's Karma by week's end) for his spat with Pat

Dude SJFF82, I love the fact that you are passionate...but to continuosly attack the Guru is not the smartest of moves... lay off the guru

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I think SJF is going to hammer Rochester! I hope not though my loyalty is always to the LL first and East second. I would love to see Rochester be competitive let alone win. I think they are going to have a down year after showing some potential last year. The loss of Bielecki is just to big for them to recover so fast. SJF will romp and I don't think the game (on the field) will be all that interesting. Again I hope I am wrong but I don't think I am.

i think you're right. has fisher's offense clicked yet with the new qb?

I agree with super... lay off Pat and simmer man and then we can all move on with football talk. Hey pride fan were you at the Union/Springfield game last week? I thought the officiating was poor and I mean for both sides. The clock was a mess and I felt the refs were just out to lunch. I always will respect the refs personally and never attack them. Yet as humans I think they can sometimes not do their job well. I felt this was the case on Saturday. It just seemed very unorganized. I don't know its not a big deal but I just thought I would comment on it.

I am really hopeful that Fisher's Offense will click this week. I have not been very impressed with the offense so far. They can move the ball, and they have against both teams they have played. However, they have not been able to put the ball in the endzone. Bad penalties, and poor decisions and play calling have been a killer inside the red zone.

We will see this week. I am interested to see how they look this week against U of R in a rivalry game. The defense will be there, and will lead Fisher to a win. I just hope the Offense can start to get rolling.
GO FISHER!!!

fisher's D is always solid. they have some weapons at wide out too. should be interesting when they face off with ithaca.
