Another Fisher stomp of IC, guess the worm has really turned !!!

Honestly was surprised by this outcome.  Thought IC was going to be the E8 champ this year.  Guess TGP was wrong yet again.  Congrats to Fisher.  Definitely deserving of the national ranking and the #1 position in the east until proven otherwise.

TGP, what was the final with the Bart game? The livestats isnt working...

saxondeuce

SJF wins big today...impressive...  even more impressive is AU winning at Springfield...guess there is a first time for everything.  These saxons are surprising to me this year, 6 points away from being 4 and 0 this year.  Hopefully they can keep it up!

Bart 27 - SUC 14

bart offense good on ground (220+ yds rushing) but passing was terrible.  doyle went 14 for 31, 2 tds and 3 ints.

2nd week in a row he's thrown 3 ints.

defense really improved.  suc only was 3 for 16 on 3rd down.  dl causing 2 sacks/fumbles early to set up the first 2 tds.

Thanks for the update Pep.  On Saxon Warriors!  It'll be interesting how fast the freshman QB comes along.

Bailey had by far his best performance today, he looked really solid out there.  The D once again struggles out of the gate but clamped down after that.  If Fisher can keep playing like they did in the 2nd half against Ithaca the rest of the season, look out Eastern region.

Well after leaving at 6am this morning, I am back from my first live game this season...

IC is a good team. It seemed to me they lost sight of what was working in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. I know once you get behind you want to throw the ball all over the field, but the control game was working, and when you are down 3 it is not time to panick.

I will say this...Fisher looked great today. If they play like that the rest of the season, they should be fine. I thought Fisher was the more talented team, and that they would win if both teams played to their potential, and I think I was right. IC had no bad penalties, and a solid game. The Fisher D is just good, and the offense looked like it is turning the corner.

A lot to be excited about for Fisher. Lets go Fishe.r
GO FISHER!!!

ICemanJK

well, kudos to fisher.  they wanted it more today.  couple blown coverages in the second half and the inability to get the ball in the endzone did us in.

FDC absolutely sucks... not happy about the turn out this year as a whole.

Good to see Supe...he came over for part of the 2nd half to see how much the visiting bleachers suck.

Very frustrating day for this Bomber fan.
All hail the Booga

Ithaca looked absolutely awful today. They couldn't run the ball one bit after the first drive, and Juvan looked pretty bad. His overthrown on Brian W. in the 1st quarter set the tone for the game. If that's caught, it's six points. But he just couldn't hit open guys which led to Fisher stacking up against the run.

Frankly, I think this game kind of sums up Dan Juvan's career. There's really not a single moment where he put his stamp on a big game like this. I know he was banged up, probably more than we know, but I can't believe that Grastorf coming in was completely about the injury. The Bombers scored 32 points in Juvan's three games against Fisher. I just can't think of a big game where I think, "Man, if it hadn't been for Juvan, we'd have been cooked." Maybe it's too critical, but it's one man's opinion.

Also, this is the kind of game the IC team has been losing for years. Tough road games, especially on turf. Mike Welch is a good coach, but it seems like it's been the same team for the last 10 years. 8-2 or 7-3, unable to steal a game when presented with a chance. And this game had chances. Ithaca had a great first drive, and then there were a few overthrows that cost them. The defense held as long as they could, but the long TD to Smith was a dagger.

Is the season over? Of course not. There's no reason to think this team couldn't be 8-1 when Cortland shows up, and who knows what can happen then? Also, a team like Hartwick can never be counted out when it comes to pulling an upset off, and that could lead to some wierd tiebreaker. If three teams wind up with one loss in conference, it's a coin flip.

But sadly, this marks three years in a row that the Bombers have simply been beaten soundly by Fisher. And I think all three times, it sends a message that Ithaca's not in SJF's class.

just settling in after an impressive win today----it was great to witness the win but even better to be back with the fellow doctors----great to see ya all!
quick thought--- and dr stepnick called this one--once fisher aired  it out to jim or tim successfully it opened  the o to relax and settle in an have a good game--that pass to smith was the game breaker.

go fisher!
great to see everyone!

400+ miles later, supes has several things on his mind...

A) the away bleachers REALLY suck... Pep you are right... they are down right awful...

b) the fisher student's need to organize... and I loved the two 4LC shirts I saw which stood for Ithaca's fourth and long club... creative... we need more stuff like that..

C) Fisher owns Juvan's soul

D) Bergenstock was impresive at first... they need an air game to make him better

E) Carlton was amazing and bailey looked solid...

F) That was a Monkey Stomp

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Cardinal 4 Life

anybody else think it's weird that it's only week 4 and everyone in the E8 has a loss already?
