booby--it is what it is.
now they need to regroup and play a good salisbury team next week
the e8 will come when it comes
to lose focus after today would be a horrible mistake
fisher can regroup
play solid football- win out and hope to get the e8

Commish and Pep,  Whatever the band was playing today, bring it on for next week.  Any interceptions thrown today?

Two badly missed field goals that were well within range and two fumbles within 10 yards of the endzone.  That about sums it up.  Hartwick played a decent game, Boltus was tearing apart the Defense in the 2nd half but this is a game that Fisher gave away.

I wouldn't say it sums it up...both teams had chances.  The two long TD passes in the first half...especially the hail mary...a blocked field goal, not a missed one...come on.

It was a good game.  Lets leave it at that.

Yanks it was a good game but you cant deny that Fisher repeatedly shot itself in the foot.

I also cannot deny that the score should have been 14-7 'Wick at the half...what did you call that catch...planned?

ok boys- settle down-
yanks-- we fisher guys have the right to be miffed
booby- he does have a point--we should have gone to half down 7

red zone killed us again- no 2 ways about it

Ha fine you keep the hail mary and we'll take the missed field goals and extra 2 possessions within your 10 yard line.  Hartwick deserved to win because they played well and Fisher made JV errors, but I would not say Hartwick out played Fisher whatsoever.

That would be Blitzkrieg Bop and Secky threw what should been a pick six, but the Norwich defender dropped it.  I think it was a linebacker, so maybe a wideout might have run him down.

I think Secky is getting better with each game of avoiding the D-linemen with his throws.  I would say that was his biggest problem against Ursinus and led to 3 of his 4 picks, but I only remember one tip at the line today.  Just one more thing that Pep and I have been watching for improvement as the year has progressed.

The penalties continue to mount up as in past seasons and at some point it has to be considered a trend with the coaching.  I know the players all love Murray and would lie down in traffic for him, but they'd probably get called for a late hit on a sedan while they did it.  Maybe some tough love or a few extra laps when mistakes are made in practice would help, but what do I really know?

Booby...agree to disagree...I am not saying Fisher played bad, or implying for a second that they are a bad team.  Personally, I thought we outplayed you today, that our coaches had a great game plan (I can guarantee you didn't think that DeMulder would have over 100 yards rushing), and we took advantage of every little opportunity we could...which is what we had to do to win.

I thought we earned it.  After you tied it up, we went right down the field to kick the field goal...you didn't give it to us.  That is what good teams find a way to do...

Total Yards:

Hartwick: 487
Fisher: 490

Virtually every other statistic was almost dead even. I think the teams played a good, close game that was decided by a turnover, as football games often are. Can we leave it at that? Don't get caught up in the "who outplayed who" stuff.

I'm good with that...clearly, this game could have gone either way on a number of individual plays.
