I would put Stepnick ahead of Noah because while Noah was an excellent receiver, Stepnick was probably the best corner in the country...He just shut down his side of the field.

To finish it out I would probably include Dan Luce the defensive end, Mike Fox and maybe Harmon or Marion/Smith (they are so equal in my mind) when all is said and done.

so lets see your list... I was trying to remember more offensive line players names as I think they were a big part of Fisher's success... or the TE who was cut from the Chiefs  in 04 or 05

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Upstate, let hope they choke to Utica and we can lose to Curry this year

They would struggle without Boltus no question... but they have him.  New England would stink without Brady too...

They have a young back up qb thats good hopefully he'll keep them up.

hey supe to each his own... for me i would rather enjoy the sox winning at 4 oclock today than my sister be a hooker...

does any in Empire 8 play muhlenberg this year?

man it was a joke... it was on the first page of google images when I google BoSox... and it made me laugh... I am sorry if your sister is indeed a prostitute...

Just read 9 pages of posts since Saterday....some comments:

dlippiel:  as you found out, SJF was down key defensive starters as well, including ones lost earlier in season to injury.  Not an excuse, just a fact.

Upstate: Faggiano's Defense did not exactly stop the triple option either...remember a kid named Chris Sharpe and his 7 td's?   Also, assuming you know more about the "coaches' decision" to bench Gottlieb and Melnyk, I am suprised you are being so harsh about it.

Skunks:  no need to get blistered for those comments...they are accurate!

SJF posters who have posted about a 'rebuilding year'....absolute "hind sight is 20/20" horse doo-doo.  Come on....which one of you predicted a rebuilding year?  Supes did indicate that he predicted 6-4 or 7-3, but that doesnt necessarily mean rebuilding either, just means we lost some games.  There is a difference between a disappointing start to the season and rebuilding.  Baseball teams with farm systems re-build.  D3 football teams either maintain their status by recruiting or they dont, or they do, but other factors (injuries, bad attitudes or poor team chemistry, and/or coaching) kick-in.  Losing by 30 to MUC (my prediction that that would be MUC'S lowest offensive output and smallest margin of victory still holds) is not indicative of re-building.  Nor is losing to Hartwick, as we have now made that an annual ritual.  Nor is losing to a talented, albeit depleted, Salisbury team.  You do not start 3-3 and because you are disappointed you resort to "this is a rebuilding year"   We were rebuilt, with a progressing young QB, some solid transfers and the defense largely in tact from last year.  Unfortunately, some of the aforementioned factors (injuries, apparent bad-attitudes) have kicked in.

If we were 5-1, would we be saying "this is a rebuilding year" ?

At least we beat IC in our 'rebuilding' year ;)

Oh...and The Hartwick bashing should cease already.  They have now beaten SJF twice, IC once and AU once in their last 6 efforts against those teams.  Without checking, I doubt anyone of those three have done better against the others in the past 2 seasons.  The Boltus debate is crazy.  Like one 'Wick poster stated, he's there, deal with it.  What would the Bulls without Jordan have been...check the 2 years he played baseball if you are not sure, and nobody bashed the Bulls when they were winning.  I am bitter too about teh losses to Wick, but that doesnt mean that Wick didnt deserve to win.  If you dont want  to give them cred., to each his own, but the whining about it (I know, I should talk  ;)) sucks.

It's different... no this year would not be rebuilding if we were 5-1... but we have lost some close games that we wouldn't of if Tim Bailey had ever taken a snap before and carelton had more in game experience.... this is the same as 05 when we went to the ecac's...

I disagree Supes,  SJF was not rebuilding in '05 either, they were 15 yards shy of an NCAA berth on their home field, when, bam, the QB gets manhandled on 4th down, if I recall correctly.  They were big favorites in that game against AU.

Upstates top 10 SJF players:

1) Mark Robinson
2) Noah Ferhenbach
3) Steve Stepnick
4) Mike Fox
5) Jason Meyers
6) Brad Keem
7) Gene Lang
8) Gerald Dias
9) Mike Kallfelz
10) Brendan Fortune

SJF82, yeah i know about the situation and I'll just leave it at that.  Also Faggiano's scheme was solid its the execution of it by the backups that was the problem that day.  I believe that scheme also held SC in check every other time Faggiano faced them.

For the really smart guys out there, MUC games where signed the week before the 2006 playoff game. The Salisbury Game is a one game only, both Fisher and Salisbury had and open date 10/11/08. This was schduled around March 08. As far as rebuilding the "O" this year, great, so in 09 Fisher is going to rebuild the "D", 10 rebuild the special teams, then '11 rebuild the "O"?  Ask any Fisher coach if this was a rebuilding year. It is going to be very interesting in the next couple of years to see how the current economy affects recruiting for the private schools vs the state schools.

The coming Saturdays game between SJF and Norwich will be video streamed live.  Just go to www.norwichathletics.com and click on the B2 networks link.  Charge for viewing the game is $7.00.

$7 is too steep for any game with Norwich. How can you justify charging more than it likely costs to go to the game?

Pep will admit to having paid $7 to watch the Alfred at St. Lawrence game, saving Pep 550 miles of wear and tear on the Bandwagon, which is now at 304,500+ miles and counting. At the time, gas was in the neighborhood of $4.00/gal. so at 20 mpg, the $7 ended up saving $110 in gas, not to mention meals. Would Pep pay $7 to see Norwich? Only if Pep's Saxons were playing in Northfield.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

so bitter... dont be mad because Wick has your number.

Where was the Fisher IC game played?

Go lose to curry again....

upstate don't forget WNEC last year! Without Boltus Wick is zip! If they had a team at all to help him (aside form one solid receiver) they would be nationally ranked without a doubt and never...yes never lose to a Curry or WNEC.

I'm with BoSox...sounds bitter...realy bitter...

Who cares about national rankings...we just want to make the playoffs.  But thanks for reminding everyone how terrible we would be without Boltus...or Phelan...or Tomaino...should I even continue?

By the way, I would rather lose to Curry in the first round of the NCAA's then win any game in the ECAC's...

BoSox...IC-Fisher game was played at Fisher this year...
