I might be a little pissed if I were an SJF fan.  If they played Ithacas schedule they might still be ranked dont ya think?

Gives you some perspective on RPIs schedule I think.

Why should SJF fans be pissed? They played a tough schedule. I think one that's good for the East as a whole... that the East Region will play tough.

Just waiting for the rest of the easts better teams, except for the MAC, to do the same...

That tough schedule isn't really going to help them make the playoffs this year.  It might hurt the east seeing that they lost to Salsbury and MUC as well.

I think the salisbury game was a one and done but MUC comes to growney next year.
Next year may be the year that Fisher gets the monkey off the back and beats MUC   ---maybe?

Speakin of that, Texas is a clear cut favorite for me right now.  I couldn't believe they were only favored by 4.5 over Mizzou last week.  I think they are 14 point favorites over OSU this weekend.

I see Bama losing a game before Texas does.  I also see Penn St. losing to Ohio St. or getting upset by Iowa or Mich St.

It is going to be an interesting finish.  Cocktail Party this weekend will determine the East's representative in the SEC title game.  I think UGA's chances are out but, if UF can run the table and win the SEC, they might get BCSed into the title game despite the Ole Miss loss.  I think Bama loses too.

Seems like the Big 12 is damn good.

CBS has been boasting all year that the sec was the conference to beat and now the big 12 is the banner winner..
hmmm- gone are the glory days of the big east and dead is the syracuse program driven into the ground by a delusional AD and even worse head coach.
We can all say that we remember when the program was good-- because when we are trying to tell our grandchildren the story while they laugh---we will have our own fond memories of what once was---because they wont be back in our lifetime.

I don't know if they have the banner yet.  I think their top teams are comparable but the tops in the big 12 get less challenge from the middle and bottom than the tops in the SEC.

jose- agreed---
certainly no argument here-- it just seemed that cbs drak the sec coolaid

PBR...

In CBS' defense, it is the official network of the SEC, which could account for the kool aid.  Plus, they can't drink anything but Kool Aid because UF President Miles Brand wouldn't renew CBS' contract to cover Florida-Georgia unless CBS promised to stop referring to the game as the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

You still have no idea how good these conferences are.  Like Jose said, I dont think there is one bad team in the SEC.  The big 12 has about 5 of them.  Thats a huge difference when at the end of the year the better teams in each conference might have 1 or 2 losses.

fisheralum91

jose-- i guess that is where i was going---kinda like NBC and notre dame
