ha, it's ok if you don't get the reference...it's been a while now since the movie came out.  but it was all in fun, i don't really think you are a tool.

Hahaha...its all good man.  I know the reference, and loved the book long before the movie came out...I just wanted to say "booby"...

That was a great game but I couldn't tell who was the better team (or who deserved to win the game anyway) untill Union stopped IC those two times in that fourth quarter.

From my memory Union did have a better running game while IC had the better special teams and probably even with the passing games.

Two quick points.....in '05, Union beat Ithaca by 14 and outgained them by over 200 yards of total offense.  In my mind, that's a pretty solid beating...

Secondly, Union does not have a very good team this year.  With that being said, neither does Fisher.  In the 'Fan Poll' I have been getting hammered for dropping Fisher out of my top 10 (I had them as my preseason #1).  SJF, had 2 fantastic years...folks continue to try to equate that to this years team and should not.

This is a rebuilding year for Fisher....nothing wrong with that.  Many of you guys continue to be surprised by Fishers mediocre/lackluster play in '08.  Can we finally simply face the fact that this years addition of Fisher football is simply not that good....compare the '08 Fisher team to the other '08 versions of the E8, not the previous 2 versions of Fisher.

Yeah I mean because playing Mount Union closer than anybody this year, and losing in 4 overtimes to a top 15 team and by 3 to a Hartwick team that isn't exactly a Mount Ida...God Fisher is terrible!

Where did I state they were terrible?  I simply stated that this is a rebuilding year.....Fisher fans seem to continue to be 'shocked' that SJF struggles on almost a weekly basis.

Also, continuing to say that SJF has played MUC closer than anyone else is a pretty odd to me.  Losing by 4 TD's is an ass whuppin' no matter how you look at it.  I give Fisher TONS of credit for stepping up and playing MUC...but for you guys to continue to say, "We played them closer than anyone in '08" is laughable.

It's not laughable...I think it's credible to say you played the closest game against the best team in the country.  No other team can say it, not Capital, not anybody.

I think it would be more credible if the score was closer...like if it was the same score in the Final 4 game.  In all reality, it still looks like a speed bumb on MUC's schedule...

That's true the score doesnt look pretty but I was there and that game could have been so much closer.  I would never say Fisher was in danger of winning the game but if they could have finished some drives or didnt fumble the snap a couple times leading to Mount Union scores or Tim's pick 6 before the end of the first half...The score wouldn't look so bad if it were something like 24-10 or so.

Dude, I wanted Fisher to win the game.....I have hammered this years Union team for being underachievers.

You need to take off the rose colored glasses, Fisher was down 33-0 entering the 4th quarter and was more than doubled up (247-540 or something close to that) in total yards.  No matter how you slice it, that performance should not be looked at as a positive on your resume.

haha what can i say man?  as colin cowherd would say "I am just a fan, which is short for fanatic".  Yards didn't tell the story, we could have scored a couple times.  We even had a goaline series that we didn't capitalize on I believe.  And the pick six to end the half, that kind of hurts.  Or fumbling a snap deep in your own territory that Mount Union recovers and scores on.  That hurts too.  We played them closer than the score indicates believe me.

Forget it Booby...it seems that some so-called football people on here live in a virtual football world only.  They seem to think that stats and blog boards are football.  Many want to continue to pretend that they respect SJF and their accomplishments and their current schedule, yet undermine them in the same post.  There are fans of schools with proud histories who will never accept that SJF has accomplished what they have the past SIX years (not 2 U89).

You guys are funny (and very sensitive).  I give Fisher tons of credit for their recent success....I simply said that this years version is in a rebuilding process and you homers get all defensive.

I was ecstatic when Fisher knocked Rowan from their long standing position....82, clue me in where I am 'undermining' your team?

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.
