It was only a matter of time before Ithaca's O-Line started to click.  They seem to be peaking at the right time.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

So I just started watching the Fisher Utica game on empire8tv and the announcers must not have known they were on because they were throwing out some F bombs.  Good times.

Ithaca was part of the ICAC at one time.

Good find.  Ithaca joined the season after I left.  With my new ceramics job in L.A.  I didn't keep up with things.  It was a lot tougher in those days.

Much like everything in the Utica area, the web cast sucks...

SJF has the ball on the 2 and then gets hit with back to back false starts...

gotta love the discipline shown by this team...

Gro steps up again.  This was also a lacrosse league up till about 1992 I believe as well.  Some day in the future we will have to have a postpatterns throwback day where the ICACPP will get some ink.

But how did Alfred "win" that 1972 championship?  It says they won but all the teams didn't even play each other.  Wierd.

Jonny,  Another good find!  Old guys like me find this interesting and entertaing.  If the same info was posted for Alfred's 1971 undefeated team I'm sure you would see Jim Moretti listed.

Alfred has online "brochure" (not media guide) so it doesn't list seasons like a media guide would.

But I did find this:

All-Time
Leading Tacklers
Season
154 John Hoosock, 1990
138 Bill Assenheimer, 1968
138 Wil Green, 1996
129 Brian O'Neil, 1981
127 Mark Obuszewski 1992
Career
359 Wil Green, 1993-96
353 Brian O'Neil, 1979-82
350 John Hoosock, 1987-90
317 Brian Keefer, 1997-2000
308 Bob Carley, 1983-86

Will Green was one nasty LB.

Jonny,
I did know Bill Assenheimer, he was pretty intense and "over"zealous.  Guess what his nickname was.

With out a doubt they did, if they are not ranked #1 in the east and back in the top 10 in the D3FB.com poll i'd be extremely surprised...

Ithaca has their media guide on their website and it has all the old records on it... it's a real nice resource.
Ithaca was an independent for a really long time, FWIW.

Hey, a win is a win, right? Although seeing it 10-all late in the 3rd quarter made me really hope that the Pioneers could finish the job.
