Three-Way Tie Scenario Becomes Clearer:

Ithaca (2-0 OOC, 1 Pending)
---------------------------
Lycoming  5-2 (W)
King's    0-6 (W)
Cortland  8-0 (-)
          ---
          13-8 (-2 Ls = 13-6)

Hartwick (3-0 OOC)
------------------
Becker    2-6 (W)
WNEC      2-7 (W)
Mt. Ida   3-5 (W)
          ---
          7-18 (-3 Ls = 7-15)

St. John Fisher (2-0 OOC, 0 Pending)
------------------------------------
Buff. St. 0-8 (W)
Rochester 2-5 (W)
          ---
          2-13 (-2 Ls = 2-11)

St. John Fisher's opponents have 4 games remaining.  The best SJF's OOC SoS could be is 6-11.

Hartwick's opponents have 4 games remaining.  The best Hartwick's OOC SoS could be is 11-15.

Ithaca's opponents have 6 games remaining (minus the Ithaca/Cortland game since that does not get factored into the SoS).  The WORST Ithaca's OOC SoS could be is 13-11.

This means that it is now IMPOSSIBLE for SJF or Hartwick to win the three-way tie in the E8, as Ithaca's OWP margin is insurmountable.

And good work Frank BTW.

And that's why we need Hartwick to go ahead and lose one of their last two games and just take care of business at Alfred and none of this will matter.

But, moving on to a team who actually MaY go to the playoffs (Kidding SJF fans...)

How about Thomas Bergerstock? Looks like he's going to break the single season yardage record for the Bombers--no small feat given the stable of backs IC has always had. He's already topped the single season TD record...

Ran into Jamie Donovan yesterday, IC's all-time rushing and scoring leader. Knew him from when we were both students. Really chill kid, always was down to earth when he was breaking all the records we hadHe seemed kind of suprised that Bergerstock was having this good a year--but I think a lot of people were. The pops' first line to Donovon was "Hey Jamie. Did you come back to see Bergerstock break all your records?" Donovan gave a kind of "Yeah, no kidding" look.

The interesting thing about Bergerstock is how different he is from guys like Donovan or Baez. Jamie was a between the tackles force who always seemed to be moving forward, and tough to bring down. Baez was the speed back--although Donovan did have an extra gear. Bergerstock's quick, but he doesn't have the straight line speed of a Baez. He's very adept at making cutbacks to earn extra yards and taking advantage of that huge line. Amazing to see what he's done this year.

I never count out a defense that can give up 70 points. I seriously doubt they'll have difficulty stopping Utica's offense. That triple option though? You never know. Stranger things have happened.

I dont see HC dropping any of their last two....

I also dont see them getting a pool C either...

Cortaca tix sold out in less than 14 minutes from the ETIX site if any Bomber faithful were looking.  Hopefully you guys recieved a decent amount to sell through your own campus.  ???

i honestly didnt think that the schedule would bit the card in the butt like it did.
i do defend the decision to sched those games and think that padding your sched with cupcakes will only bring about disasters in the playoffs---see hartwick last year...

Instead of scheduling the toughest schedule possible, i'd be concentrating on winning the conference outright for once...

I'm so glad this tough schedule paid off....

I wonder what UW-Whitewater is doing next year?

Always looking for games. :)

I think all talk of a Pool C bid for Fisher can officially stop. They just are not consistent enough to be considered. I think that Fisher could have been great this year with very slight changes in the ways things have gone. A bad play call here, a missed fielf goal there, and little more intensity in some games, and they would be right where we thought they could be.

One complete game this year (Ithaca), is all we have to hold onto as a legit contender this year. I am wondering what the talk would be like, if Hartwick's season had worked out like Fisher's.

I agree with whoever said it earlier that Ithaca is the team that should get the AQ from the E8 this year. As much as I hate to say it, they have been a solid team all year.
GO FISHER!!!

I picked mine up through the ic alumni site this afternoon.  Not sure how many were made available for us oldheads, but self-preservation means I'll be at the game!

So who wants to own up to smiting me (2) for 1 obviously sarcastic (and it was even a shot at SJF besides) post in the past 3 days?

I've been hit as well...

Not that either of the two incidents are surprising...

That is the problem with the Fisher O this year, NO INTENSITY. 80 offensive plays and only 10 points. Even the Fisher Moms were pissed yesterday. Is Hamel healthy, this QB is lost. 0 for 5 on fourth downs inside the Utica 30. Hey Coach Parks, the object is to score touchdowns.
