You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

The man has been with the school forever, and has proven his ability to recruit and win his entire career. Even more impressive is the fact, that you can not find a person that says a bad word about him. He is a great choice to be the face of an athletic program.

GO FISHER!!!

I could care less about the bathrooms (unless they're electing to install urinal troughs); Pep and I only want to be able to see the field from the visitor bleachers.  Alfred players are excellent examples of the male physique, but I'd rather see the action on the field than their matching backsides.

Do you think it is any fun climbing a mountain to get out of Merrill once every other year?

There's really no need to climb a mountain to get out of Merrill.

If your going to go with 80's quotes from Mathew Broddrick at least pull it from a better movie...

Bombers798891

NCAA regional rankings came out today...Ithaca is all the way up at #2, Hartwick is #6...

I have to say, how in the world did Hartwick stay at #6? I know Rowan fell behind them with their second loss, but man, that tells you a lot about how bad the East is. A team with a 6-1 region record can lose to a 2-6 squad and they can't find more than one team to jump them?

Also, kind of a strange question: What role do these rankings play in selections of at-large teams? I ask because it looks like IC will get left out if they lose this week. I know the auto-bids mess things up so some team ranked below IC will clinch a Pool A bid, but I see IC at #2 and playing on the road at #1 and it's kind of amazing that you can go from being #2 one week to missing out all-together.

I'm not saying it's unfair, mind you. Looks like we have 10 one-loss teams vying for 6 spots right now. So obviously, a lot of them would need to lose for an 8-2 IC team to get in---and frankly, 8-2 and a backdoor bid shouldn't be IC's goal anyway. I guess it's just a bit wierd to think the #2 team could lose to the #1 team and miss out on the playoffs all together. Thoughts?

what the...........
wick #6?
is this for real?
wow
that really is something.
oh well

AUKaz00

It does seem crazy that Wick is still at 6 after losing.  At least Husson is no longer in line for a Pool C, though.  Here is the East Region Rankings:

1.  Cortland State
2.  Ithaca
3.  Montclair State
4.  Hobart
5.  Rensselaer
6.  Hartwick
7.  Plymouth State
8.  Rowan
9.  Curry
10.  Albright

yeah commish--- i underatand the exclusion of sjf as they didnt even play but wick at 6- wow that is a stretch

KonArtist33

I just want to officially point out that, even though I have no idea why Hartwick would still be ranked, I have no problem with this new poll. It is clearly a friend of Wicks, and by default, a friend of mine. They must be using the same BCS computer that ranks my Fighting Irish in the top ten every time they have more then 6 wins. Either way, myself and all the other Wick fans can not complain.

Now whose ready for the Hart-ica Jug!!!!!!

So if I follow the logic of the East Region rankings then this is what may happen with respect to SJF-IC-WICK

If all 3 win this Saterday:  SJF in as Pool A
                                          IC IN AS Pool C
Wick out, because despite their East ranking, the
Committee wont take 3 E8 teams

If SJF WICK win and IC loses:  SJF Pool A
                                                 WICK Pool C
                                                  IC out

If SJF IC WIN, and WICK loses:  SJF in Pool A
                                                   IC IN Pool C
                                                   WICK out

IF SJF loses and IC WICK win:  SJF out
                                                  IC IN Pool A
                                                  WICK in Pool C

IF SJF WICK loses and IC wins:  SJF WICK out
                                                   IC Pool A

If SJF and IC lose and Wick wins:  SJF out
                                                      IC Pool A
                                                      WICK Pool C

If all 3 lose:                                IC in Pool A
                                                   SJF WICK out

I do not necessarily agree with these outcomes, but I based them upon the present East rankings.  For example, I do not see any scenario where a 2 loss Wick gets Pool C, so they certainly wont get in if SJF and IC win and get in.  But apparently they are in line for Pool C under the above scenarios where either IC or SJF doesnt get in if they beat Utica of course!

I also dont see Wick jumping IC even if IC loses, especially because of head to head, but then there would appear to be too many scenarios where E8 gets 3 teams again???

Wick isn't even in the discussion, barring a real change in landscape.
