The work of Fran Elia at Cortland can not be overlooked.  He does an amazing job.  I think he and so many others have taken pages from the work of Pete Moore who was at IC for many years before moving on to 'Cuse.

Without question CLand.  Fran and Mike do great work and are partly responsible for the immense coverage of the Jug among other sports.

I apologize. Having worked for Mike for a year, I know first-hand the difficulties he faces and the kind of work he puts in. When I was there he had one full-time assistant for 26 sports. I don't know how he does it.

My frustration is with an athletic department that has allowed things to get this way for Mike's department. Regardless of your job, we all have limits, and when we're pushed beyond those limits, problems occur. Mike and his assistants can't be expected to handle that workload, becuase it's too much. This is a problem with the Athletic Department for letting it get to that.

I do think Mike does a fantastic job at what he does, but he needs some help, and I do think IC hired another assistant. I hope this helps him, because he deserves it

While I respect your reciprocation, I think it's easy to see how we mis-construed this sarcastic comment:

Both teams have won 8. You have to love the accuracy of Ithaca's Sports Info Department

as a slam at the Ithaca Sports Info Department, for and with which many of us have worked, and still (obviously) have good friends working there. Please be more careful about such comments.

That's fair, i can see how that happened.

Typos identified from 1999-2003 ... none.  Typos identified after 2003 ... some.  Max, I'm looking at you.  One would think you'd be MORE efficient without me in the office.

Anyone have any injury updates on Juvan and Bergerstock? Are they likely this week, or is it the Grastorf and Ruggerio show again?

Also, who else thinks IC should stick Crandall in the Wildcat formation? I'd take him with a running start behind that line all day long

This will give the answer away. How many players need to be in the backfield to run a legal play?

Memo to Bombers # whatever; Thats why these boards are here, we agree to disagree
When somebody make a post and it is countered they get jumped on, then they do not defend there orginal post.

Agreeing to disagree is fine, but the whole point of that phrase is that once that stage is reached, both sides stop talking about the issue. You just keep going on and on about it. No-one's going to convince you otherwise. One guy (Upstate) even largely agrees with you. You've made your point, you won't be swayed, so move on. There's one more game left this season. Why not enjoy it rather than be critical of everything?

Fishfan, what you don't know could fill a book.   Your posts are tired.  Moving on.....

Was I the football guy? I think you need to check with a little guy named Aquaman. Check the '06 baseball guide... that'll be stellar stuff.
