The E8 had, for the most part, a Bad day going 1-3 in ECAC/NCAA games..  Is this a downward turn in the E8 or was it just a bad luck year.

SJF- the only team not to lose to curry in the NCAAs!!!

Not withstanding the NEFC being poor on the whole, I think Curry has proven to be a formidable opponent and has learned how to win in the NCAA tournament.

Can't ignore the ramifications of another NEFC victory in the 1st round. Now, next year, when we are talking about Pool C's we cannot overlook NEFC teams. The NCAA is taking note of this. Teams with 9-1 records from the NEFC are going to get serious consideration for Pool C's, even if they weren't in the NEFC championship game.

I think it may be unlikely for an 8-2 E8 or LL team to be picked over a 9-1 NEFC team now.

Well, again i think it depends.  i think Curry has made an impact on the NCAA committee.  I'm not so sure others would get the same treatment if the roles were reversed.  Had Plymouth gotten a C bid, and Curry got the A, based on today's results, the NCAA would look foolish.  Instead, they look like geniuses.

Well the only reason Curry wasnt in te NEFC Title game was because they are in the same division as Plymouth. If those 2 were in different divisions, they would both be in the title game every year....

Every year?  Plymouth hasn't been decent since the early 80's.

Doods, is Ithaca serious? Losing to Curry? -- That's weak, like, really weak... and AT HOME?!?. How do you even let that come close to happening?

Ithaca was my hope to give MUC a good game... pissed now :)

Carry on.

seriously....

RT's last game of '93 season was against a 10-0 Plymouth St who was pissed they weren't chosen for the NCAA's and said they were going to come to Troy and stick it to RPI. Yea, oh well...RPI won

Ive seen them.  Curry is tough.  .

I usually agree with you JU, but not here... Curry is weak. Fisher beat the ish out of the same team last year. Ithaca simply did not play like they could / should have.

this one should not have been close.

I think Curry going down and scoring on their first possession spooked the ooga boobas....

Same thing happened last year with Curry/SJF, but SJF scored 38 unanswered points....

I think by tough, JU means physically and mentally, they are tough.  Where they lack talent, they make for with toughness.

Fair enough LD.

Still no reason for Ithaca to not blow them out at Butterfield.

I didn't see the game today, but from seeing Curry play Hartwick last year, there a much better team than they seem on paper. Last year they were fast, and pressured boltus like no one has done at all these last two years.

But still lost by 31 the next round...
