No excuses, statistical domination by Curry:

Total Yards: Curry (440), Ithaca (235)

Passing: Curry (268), Ithaca (102)

Rushing: Curry (172), Ithaca (133)

First Downs: Curry (20), Ithaca (14)

3rd Down Conversions: Curry (8/15), Ithaca (6/16)

Welch punted TWICE in the 4th qtr from the Curry 30 yd line. The resulting drive starts for Curry was the 20 yd line and 17 yd line. Why are you playing field position right there? Throw it up near the end zone, who cares if it gets picked, it's better than a punt. That's not even conservative, that's Rush Limbaugh conservative right there.

So far, I give the IC guys lots of credit....no blaming the conditions or anything else....losing always sucks, but you guys are handling it with class.

Curry deserves a lot of credit here. For a second place NEFC team to come in and take out Ithaca at Ithaca says something to me. This is the same Ithaca team that homogenized Cortland this year. WOW what hapens next in the East?

I was pulling for Ithaca... but i must say its funny how when Hartwick lost to Curry last year it was such a "disgrace"... how could they lose to a team from the NEFC???/  Now Ithaca gets beat and the tune has changed.... "i have to give Curry credit" ... so hypicritcal ... funny how that works...

You know what Bosox you are such a tool ;D Your posts always make me chuckle. This is exactly the point we all make asshole! Curry finally did prove itself today against a "good" "consistent" eastern program in Ithaca. Your horse**** two man team had no place being where it was last year and that was the point everyone was making. Not to mention your horse**** team got "smoked" by Curry all together so it was embarassing. Then your team followed up that loss with another loss against this year against ****ing Springfield ::) You just can't handle the reality that beating your **** ass team dosen't make a team "good." If this was true we would all be giving WNEC credit. Yet when you go to Ithaca in the NCAA's and beat them then it does prove something. So nothing hypocritical here just factual. It's a shame because your pathetic posts and opinions make Wick look stupid especially to those of us who actually root for them occasionally. Oh by the way have fun next year. I look forward to talking then ****head!

Actually...you are the ass and your's and everyone else's,-- that has criticized 'Wick mercilessly for losing to Curry and is now trying to play 'nicey-nice' about IC losing to them AT HOME in their first home play-off game since 1994--, posts are sour grapes.

Actually you are an even bigger ass so there ;D Who the hell is playing nicey-nice' about IC losing to Curry? What is being said is that beating Wick doesn't make you a good team. Beating IC means much more than beating Wick any day of the week. Even if IC played like **** they should beat Curry everyday of the week period. They lost so Curry deserves credit for the win. Ithaca is not a team that has lost to, WNEC, given up 60 something points to a team, 70 to Utica and Brockport collectively. If you beat a team with that type of track record that really does not say a whole lot about you. So when Curry beat Wick last year many of us were not convinced. Look it up asshole I still gave Curry props for the W last year but felt they still were not "up to E8 competition." So don't call me an ass. Cornhole you are the bitter one because for two years in a row your team has lost to a team with two ****ing players and no defense. SFG82...(your new name)Sour ****ing Grapes 82

Ive seen them.  Curry is tough.  .

I usually agree with you JU, but not here... Curry is weak. Fisher beat the ish out of the same team last year. Ithaca simply did not play like they could / should have.

this one should not have been close.

Tags,  I would respect your opinion if you have seen Curry a bunch of times this year and offer me an opinion about them.  But Im not sure if you have.  I played in games (d3) against the top teams in the country.  The best defense Ive ever played against was an NEFC team you have never even heard of.  It was a 1996 Worcester St. team that went undefeated against NEFC competition and might have suprised teams if they would have made the playoffs.

If SJF played a game in front of 10,000 people last year for a playoff spot the outcome might have been different.  Also, not sure if you knew but a lot of those Curry players are back.

Emotion goes a long way in football........that is what makes it such a great sport.

You don't have to respect it ju. Just because I didn't play d3 football, doesn't mean ithaca shouldn't have put curry down today.

you can say what you want - curry isn't  better than IC 99% of the year. Tell me IC played their best and maybe I'll concede.

EDIT:

Also, it was at Butterfield. There should be no excuse for this one.

I just hate when people crap all over nefc teams and players when they have never seen them play.

....you just called 'em a 4 win team in the E8....which way you want it?

Yea.  SJF was a 5 win team werent they?  And Ithaca lost to them right?  Whats the difference?

And the they didn't touch Kramer.

I think Ithaca was looking past Curry this year.

their fans were.

I doubt that the fans looking past Curry had any implications on the game today...

I agree...just that their fans on here were looking past them...

I was looking past Husson today and looking forward to opening day in 09...

Man that almost bit me in the ass today...

Im not saying you had to have played d3 football.  But you should at least see Curry live.  Im disapointed, but Im not too suprised that this happend today.

obvioulsy IC didnt play their best if they didnt have their #1 QB and RB in the game.

And I dont want to say that IC wasnt a better team.  I just hate when people crap all over nefc teams and players when they have never seen them play.

Saw them last year live.

Not enough.  What if the only game you saw last year was the SJF/Hartwick game?

Im not saying Im wrong and you are right, but you have to look at the big picture here.  Curry has been like 40-5 in the last 5 years or something like that.

And I dont want to imply that IC overlooked them either or anything.  But they are a decent team.

I want one poster to find 1 post that said anything positive or defended Curry (or any other NEFC team) before 3 pm today.  JU....you got any in your repitoire?

I dont' know what you're talking about.  You had zero thought in my mind in this conversation.

yeah you do.

No I dont.  And i probably dont care

I just think its lame to sit on the outside and start crapping on teams for losing playoff games.  Im just not going to do it today.  Im giving credit to Curry and thats it.

Im not going to throw out the old "if we played 100 times" today.  Its not fair and its not right.

Actually...I am pretty freaking happy right now.  I am happy SJF ended the season on a good note....happy for the Seniors who actually played out the string.  Good way to go into the off-season.  7-4....nice 6 year play-off run....no sour grapes here.

JU, you're a good dood, and you're upset. Fair enough.

Curry has a decent squad, but this IC team never should have lost to them, and that is weak.

also, they were undefeated last year coming into fisher and fisher beat them soundly. IC gets no pass on this loss.

no breaks.

I'm not rubbing it in either, I am upset IC lost. I was honestly looking forward to them giving MUC another run.

I understand.

I just think its lame to sit on the outside and start crapping on teams for losing playoff games.  Im just not going to do it today.  Im giving credit to Curry and thats it.

Im not going to throw out the old "if we played 100 times" today.  Its not fair and its not right.

I understand where you are comming from but Im not going to go there.

That's fair, I can respect that side of it.

I'll let this one go.

Did your dog die....your wife leave you....is another man driving your pick-up?  You are one angry individual!   Sit tight, I will write a country song about you and post it on here for you.

None of the above I just have fun debating and making points. None of it is personal, I learned that a while ago. Do you like country I do? If you wrote me a song I'd be honored. Just don't call someone an ass and then not expect a response.

You called Bosox an ass....hello?   I was responding for him....by proxy

Whats the difference?

huh?  Did you understand my post?  You said you hate when people crap all over NEFC teams and then 2 posts later crapped on Curry by saying they are a only a 4 win team in the E8???

Yea I don't think thats crapping on them is it?  Its me saying they lose 3 games right?

you mean 4 wins in the E8 or 4 wins on the season.  I thought you meant 4 wins total.  Maybe I misunderstood ya...sorry

same thing.  It was a close game.  Im putting Curry up there with SJF, Alfred and Hartwick.  That was my point.
