Not really. If there's a 1 loss E8 team in Pool C they have a good chance of getting in in 2009. As we saw with Curry, the NCAA really likes numbers.  It all depends each year, but I doubt the E8 will get "blacklisted" due to a bad showing.

SJF Fan......yah.....crow about being the "big winner" in the loser bowl.  Yep.....shows SJF has mad game.  You guys had the chance to control your own destiny and get in the REAL play-offs......you failed to do so.  Nuff said....

Ho hum........maybe if the East didn't have their "special play-offs", and "special best in the East trophy" they would do a little better in the REAL post-season tournament.

Its been a while, but its hard to sit back and listen to such idiocy.

There are certain aspects to your post that ring true.  SJF has been a staple of the E8 and has gone the furthest in the playoffs of all the teams recently.  I give them much respect for what they have accomplished.

At the same time, please do not mistake SJF's success with domination.  Over the past few years since SJF has made such a resurgence, at no time were they clearly dominating the E8.  Every year the league has come down to the last week or two.
As for the playoffs, yes SJF has made it the furthest as of late.  However, what does that really mean?  When you go to the third round of the playoffs, that tells me that you won two games against teams that you should beat.  Congrats.  So what?  I would say the same thing to Ithaca if they were in your shoes.  If wick or alfred go that far, ya i'm a little more surprised, but something to get all fired up about?  Not if we get stomped by mount and pound on a prop down by double digits.  (Sorry, i got sidetracked and heated)  My point is, until someone from the E8 beats Mount, I dont think that it is anything for the E8 to get too excited about.  Guess i'm more all or nothing.
I think any team that is really good, dominant, and knows how to win, does so when they have the chance to win the conference title.  You have one game to win and you win the conference title and the right to go to the real playoffs.  SJF didn't do that.  In fact, if AU doesnt experience some crucial injuries in the 2nd half (manzer, and the oline center), then that game might not even be close. 
It's surprising to me to hear someone talk so much after beating Husson.  HUSSON?  this is what it has come to for the sjf fans?  Boasting after beating HUSSON?  By 10?  Who is HUSSON?  They barely beat some of the E8 doormats.  It was not that long ago that they were one of the worst teams of the east coast.

Why are so many people getting heated over SJF Fan's posts?  The guy is an idiot and getting people riled up is what he wants.

I agree with most of what you said Sarge except for a couple things....

It wasn't that long ago since Husson wasn't playing football at all, their program has only been around since 2003 and they've literally improved every single year since then. 

You guys had crucial injuries, Fisher had crucial injuries including missing arguably our best WR and such, so lets just call it a wash and say the teams were pretty evenly matched. 

And you say is this what it has come to for St. John Fisher fans, boasting about Husson.  I really haven't seen too many people boasting.  It's just getting a little tired having everyone generalize the comments of a few onto all Fisher posters. 

Finally Fisher made it to the 4th round 2 years ago and then the 3rd round last year, you shrug that off as so what but only a handful of teams have ever really done that.  Some do it more than others obviously, but still the amount of actual teams to accomplish that is so very few.  I wouldn't dismiss it so easily. 

Other than that, I agree with you on Fisher never dominating the E8 and such, but they have been in the upper levels almost the entire time.

I apologize.  I too hate being lumped in with people that support similar causes.  Not all fisher fans are like SJF fan.  I too would be upset if were to be lumped into that category.

I think its AU's bid to lose next year in the E8, they're going to be good with Secky and Manzer coming back...
