One more post gives Pep 2500....it might as well be here, where no one posts anymore. This past cold snap took its toll on the Bandwagon....

Pep kicked some of the crud from behind the left back wheel, only to have it come off and hang with the taillight wire frozen in it, which dragged behind. The frozen crud finally fell off, but not before breaking the taillight wire.

Pep's driver door panel has come loose and the tape holding it on has loosened as well. Once the temperature rises enough, it will need a wash job (and dry) before Pep superglues the panel back in place.

One freezing morning, Pep went to adjust the rear view mirror and it came off in his hand. Perhaps the black dice were a bit too weighty for it.

Pep really should replace the radiator, confirmed as a slow leak leaves the level too low to generate much heat for the car.

To add insult to injury, both the Windshield Wiper Fluid and Fuel lights, indicating they are low, came on yesterday.

Pep will make an appointment with his cousin/mechanic up the street...need an oil change as well, as the odometer now reads 310,900.

But no matter the weather, the Bandwagon starts up first time every time!!

Haha normally I don't care much for the Bandwagon updates but this one made me laugh, I think it was visualizing the rear view mirror snapping off in your hand.  +k pep, hope the offseason (car issues aside) is treating you well

+K back at ya, Booby... Pep is happy to report that his cousin 1) repaired the taillight wire, 2) fixed the flapping door panel, 3) reset the rear view mirror, 4) replaced the radiator, 5) replaced a part for the heater 6) fully serviced the engine w/all fluid levels at max ... just a $500 bill gives Pep hope that the Bandwagon makes it through the winter.

Mrs Upstate continues to churn out offensive lineman...

Our 3rd (and final one) singed with the team on Tuesday morning and measured in at 10lbs 7ozs and 23 inches long...

He should fit in nicely with his older sister and brother that were 10lbs 14oz and 10lbs 9oz respectively...

HHawks

Congrats to Boltus on an impressive performance yesterday in the Texas vs nation game. He definitely looked like he belonged on the field with those division 1 athletes.

Max is back with a question.... just read on the front page that Principia is dropping football, one of the reasons being a low talent pool because only Christian Scientists can attend the school.

So, do they have trainers?

Max Ive dealt with a few Christian Science athletes in my time and they use all modern stuff when it comes to training and injuries.

I think they use healing methods when it comes to getting sick.  And even then I think people can do what they wish when it comes to medical issues.

In the lounge where I did my OB-Gyn residency (back in the late 1970's), we had a board where we posted the cartoons that we found.

One of my favorites showed the nurse greeting the new father in the father's waiting room (back when those were the custom)...

QuoteNurse to new father:  Congratulations Mr Jones!  You are the proud father of 12 lb 4 oz baby boy!   Unfortunately, the vagina was totaled.

I now specialize in repairing pelvic floors!  ;)

Cesarean Section =  Vaginal Preservation Surgery.

Brazilian women who live in urban areas with quality medical care run elective C/Section rates of 70-80%.  In their opinions, the uterus is "pro-creational"; the vagina is "re-creational".  ;)

Yeah I did some reading and saw that they aren't against using medicine, they just don't think it should be used in conjunction  with the christian science stuff.

Thanks for the help JU, +k.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.
