thank you very much--remember to tip your waitresses and bartenders.....

herrington transferring to IC?
that isnt good- i liked the way he ran and figured hed be in for the starting spot for rb.
who is getting the nod?

boobyhasgameyo

Hopefully Biehl if he is still around....

I agree though Herrington performed well when given the opportunity.  I wonder if he will be in the mix to be a starter for Ithaca?

fisheralum91

booby- obviously there was someting more to the story----was it lack of playing time- was it a disagreement with the coaching staff?
A cardinal transferring to IC to be a bomber?
I dont like it.
sacreligious
hope biel has one helll of a season- and baily holds on to that damn ball.
i cant take watching anymore pick sixes either

Since it's been Cards and Saxons only on here recently (no offense, Max), what do you guys think about playing Alfred in week 8, presumably after an AU bye week, instead of week 11 after SJF's bye?

I confess I don't know much about Herrington, but with the seasons the IC RB's had, I can't imagine he's in the mix:

Bergerstock: 216 Carries, 1259 Yards, 5.7 YPC, 20 TD
Ruggerio: 95 Carries, 518 Yards, 5.5 YPC, 6 TD

When Bergerstock got hurt, Ruggerio stepped in and shredded Alfred (192 yards, 4 TDs) and Cortland (150 total yards)

That's 1,800 yards and 26 TD's. Unless Herrington's a big back (is he?) or is thinking about being a WR or TE (which IC will likely need) I don't see where he's going to get touches in the IC backfield. But, I suppose he's got to have a reason for transferring, so who knows?

sjfcards

I hope Baily decides to stop fumbling as well. You could see the obvious talent and athleticism the kid has last year, but he just made too many bad decisions, and just could not seem to grab a snap. I agree that the offense has to change. It was like watching people try to dodge traffic. You knew it was coming. Sometimes you got out of the way alright, other times you would get dinged. The big thing is not turning the ball over, when they didn't they beat Ithaca by a bunch. When they do, they lose to teams that should not be on the same field as them.

The point about Brown is well taken. Did he pass the ball even one time last year. The kid obviously had some talent to go to Cornell (I think). Lets see what he can do throwing the ball. But, I think you have to pick one QB and go with him. I didn't like using two or three players lining up aT qb in the same game.
GO FISHER!!!

I like the change, always got nervous ending the season against Alfred when every year it felt like it was a must win for Fisher and playoff implications on the line.  It was wayyyy too much anxiety to wait 2 weeks for, this way we can get it out of the way earlier in the season.  Plus now Alfred can worry about the rust vs. rest argument when playing a quality opponent after a bye week.

Oh and sjfcards maybe Brown did throw the ball I just don't remember it if he did.  But it doesnt matter now since apparently he didnt show up for offseason programs.  Maybe he's still on the team but just spent the semester abroad and actually ended up playing American Football in Europe and was able to sharpen and elevate his game to new heights a la Paul Keeley.  Oh one can wish.....

If they were looking for "isolated," Pep knows of a more isolated spot...further west.  ;)
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

it was interesting to watch UC try to scramble at the last second to get the jets there.
if they had been ready for this- they may have had a shot---geographically center of the state- right off the thruway and adequate facilities made them viable- but they didnt have the ducks in a row......
