Thanks, gentlemen.

That leaves the difficulty of getting the 10-game schedules back with the NJAC schools.

Rowan has loved the full schedule that the current alignment has given.

The E8 still must seek another football affiliate, if not another all-sport member that also fields a football team, in order to keep an AQ (Pool A) bid.

Pep thinks it would be nice if ONE of the SUNY schools would defect from the NJAC and join the E8 to assure NYS institutions of at least TWO AQs from among its ranks (E8 and LL), and possibly a THIRD NY AQ with remaining NYS teams still members of the NJAC.

Brockport State....Buffalo State....Cortland State....Morrisville State....any defectors among this foursome of NY schools in a New Jersey Conference?

Come home, come home....all who are weary (of traveling to Jersey) come home!
Softly and tenderly, E8 is calling, calling, "Oh SUNYs, come home!"

Does AU have 10 games on its schedule?  Maybe SJF and AU could play a day-night double header.  These players have been pampered for too long.  I see no reason why they cant ice down a bit, get taped back up and throw the 'ol buckets back on under the lights and get game #10 in.

Besides, a sweep of AU would only strengthen SJF's play-off resume  ;) :D

And pep, are you still sure Ithaca and Naz aren't leaving just because a Rochester Paper article only mentions RIT leaving in 2 years?  I had heard from a parent of a lacrosse player at IC that he had also heard that Ithaca was leaving.  He knew as much as I did (nothing official) but did you hear something more official?

Pep has it from a reliable source that three E8 schools--Ithaca, Nazareth and RIT--were being courted for membership in the Liberty League. RIT was accepted, Ithaca and Naz rejected. Hard to figure, but Pep is thinking that the LL wanted only one of them and RIT's hockey program was the jewel that outsparkled Ithaca's and Nazareth's credentials. LL has several hockey programs...Union, RPI, St. Lawrence, others(?)

Ive always thougt of Bard College as that school you go to if you had a fear of anything that involved physical activity.  I seriously was suprised when I just saw that they had any sports.

The LL boasts a slew of quality hockey programs. Union, RPI, Clarkson, and St. Lawrence all have Divsion I programs, while Hobart, Skidmore, and Hamilton have Division III programs. I believe Hobart went very deep into the post season this past year (final four maybe). Adding RIT's DI program will be a nice addition. Perhaps this helps RIT move into the ECAC hockey conference, which is more of a big time conference than their current conference. All 4 LL teams at the DI level play in the ECACHL.

Someone mentioned Fisher and AU playing a few posts ago; Didn't some team do that in DIII not that long ago? It seems to me I remember reading about it on here a year or two ago. Can anyone help me out with this one?

Whitewater and Eau Claire played each other twice last year, but it was not a double header.  The first game was a conference match-up, the second was non-conference.  I can't find Fisher's complete schedule (I think someone posted it on the E8PP), but the only date that could possibly work would be 10/3 with the conference game occuring 3 weeks later.  I don't think either team would sign up for that.

I can't imagine hockey had anything to do with it. RIT plays in Atlantic Hockey while the others are members of ECAC Hockey. I don't see RIT joining the ECAC league anytime soon though if you're going for a like-minded schools argument then it makes sense.

Pep was only speculating. After hearing that Bard was also accepted, Pep is perplexed.
