Heard from someone in the know about IC football...

This incoming recruiting class is supposedly Welch's best ever, and includes a D-IAA transfer at QB (I want to say Illinois State)

Please add this moderately vague comment to my earlier even more vague comments about incoming Ithaca talent

We've got an RB who transferred from Illinois State.  I personally think he's pretty talented, but he hasn't blown up the scene or anything.  Some of that may be due to the playcalling.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Congratulations to Matt Scalice, Ithaca LB, for being named a D3Football.com Pre-Season All-American (First Team). Scalice the only E8 player to make the first or second team.

Just going by school name recognition only, the offense looks very interesting

Monmouth as 3 guys listed on 1st/2nd offense?   ::)
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

We'll see if Pat O'Connell is really that good as Bart's first game is against Dickinson and we've got a damn good SO CB, Drake Woodard, who should be on him all day.  I also liked the replacement safety John Kelliher, who was all over the field on KO coverage making plays and Szymanski the other DB who is pretty experienced.

Will have a group heading to Fisher for the MUC game.  In checking the Fisher website, all the ticket information is from the 2007 season.  Is there any way to get tickets in advance?  A phone number in the Ticket Office?  I've heard that visitor seating is "challenging", and wanted to reserve seats if possible for the 5th.  Any sage advice from the E 8 Board??

Ticket office?  I can't remember if there are any assigned seats but I don't think there are on the home side.  But thats where you want to sit.

I think it's first come, first serve for seats. And yes, you'll want to sit on the home side... on the end furthest from the scoreboard to get away from the Fisher crowd. They'll be really into it for the first 5 minutes or so until it's 24-0, then it won't matter where you sit.
