Well, Pep speaks of RunningRobby25 this morning and hears from him by day's end. +K Robby...glad to see you're back in NY and can make some Fisher games! Hope you'll be there when Mayberry folk take a trip to Mt. Pilot to see the Saxons and Cardinals tangle in the big city Oct. 24. If you do, stop by and say hello to the band!
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Robby....big respect for your college career, and definitely your effort against Mount.  There will be numerous Mount fans tailgating, and we would love to have you guys join the party.

Remember this cat? Here is the answer to that lackluster running game since a certain #25 graduated.

Nothing like a "fresh start" in your hometown  8)

Now get on it!

Tags....are you sure you want this cat in your program? Pep is wondering what it is he did to get dismissed, especially after seeing PT (mostly special teams) in 12 games as a true freshman. Seems they saw potential in him from the get go.

"Running back Tony Jackson has been dismissed from the gridiron program, effective immediately, for failing to uphold the standard of conduct expected of a Blue Devil football student-athlete."

"Lettered three seasons at Bishop Kearney under Art Carlisi ... first team all-state selection at running back in 2006 by the New York State Sportswriters Association ... in just six games, had 1,533 rushing yards and 15 total touchdowns along with 41 tackles during senior season ... named the Finger Lakes West Player of the Year and New York Section V's Class C offensive player of the year as a senior ... rushed for a school single-game record 337 yards on 22 attempts in a season-opening 38-6 win over Whitman (Sept. 1, 2006) ... also topped the 300-yard barrier against Waterloo (13-301) and had 200 or more yards four times ... first team all-state selection as a junior ... two-time All-Greater Rochester pick by The Democrat & Chronicle ... finished career with 3,887 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns"

BTW...Mark Robinson still in California? Among AU's 66 new recruits is Haverling of Bath star tailback Andre McCloud, who also was a pretty good sprinter on the Rams' track team.

Re: Jackson

Definitely would take him at Fisher any day of the week. Never know what he did at Duke, but seems to have a good rep from his HS days, and take a look at those numbers. Plus, look what he did vs. Miami last year... ya, I'll take him.

Re: McCloud

I saw him play plenty of times (Bath, as I very rarely admit, is my hometown)... He's fast, I'd look for him to return punts & kickoff's for sure - he has remarkable breakaway speed. but I question his ability to be an every down back due to his size, but if you use him right, he'll add a good dimension.

Here is a line from cbs.sportsline

They have updates every few minutes on different camps.

Need to give credit where credit is due, if Manning is saying this about you, you deserve some credit. Although I'm still not a big fan.

"He's a very hard worker. I really feel like he got better in his rookie year even though he wasn't playing a lot. He didn't waste a year."

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Without reading it, I'm thinking something like:

"The purple doods are stacked again and should beat everyone by roughly 65 pts a game until the national championship.

This year's squad could probably take down the Buffalo Bills.

Thanks for reading."

Close?

That's a pretty thorough preview....I really wish somebody from Fisher would do something like that.  I have no idea what kind of incoming freshman or transfers we have.  No clue about positional battles....nada

I check in for one day and you guys are still talking about me behind my back ;)   jk

Dr. '91- I believe my old man Dr. Big Ed will be attending...
I can also imagine we could bring in Stepnick (who's a Sheriff now... wtf?!?!) and other recent alumni will be coming in for the game as well.

Tags- your wife drove me home while I was walking home with a bag full of Chinese food two days ago.  When the hell you coming in to town?  Elks tournament this weekend in Bath this weekend.  Me, the old man, switch and Knight are going to take home the trophy w/out you there!

I'll definitely make it to more than the Mt. game-- depending on weather, women, and work-- ugh

Happy weekend boys!

Searched a bunch for Boltus info. Found article from may about the team he signed with in CFL (Hamilton). Coach talks about him briefly. Currently dlippiel believes Boltus is injured for Hamilton. Seems as if he was third on the depth chart which to dlippiel is quite impressive considering the QB company he has there. Best of luck to Jason: http://www.thespec.com/article/572430

Funny dlippiel's father in law (who is watching his house while dlippiel is on vacation) just called and said there was a court type document that was just delivered to the house yesterday. All this time dlippiel's man crush was trying to stay under the radar , ****;D!
